Discord Missiles

By Vrykolakas, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Dear,

In the case of the Discord Missiles, can the ship in which they are "stuck" shoot them? And besides damaging to them, what other way for them to be taken away?

1 - To pass on a obstacle?
2 - Perform a barrel-roll?
3 - Bump with another ship?
4 - Another way?

The buzz droid token is at range 0, so the ship can not shoot them, unless it has a special ability allowing shots at R0.

The buzz droids don’t “stick” per se. once the affected ship has completed its maneuver, it can get away from the droids with a barrel roll or boost, if they are attached to the rear.

Remember, the token is attached to the front or back of a ship after it completed its maneuver, and before it takes its action. That action can possibly get it away from the buzz droids.

(Front or back of affected ship is swarm’s controlling player’s choice, limited by overlapping other objects.)

The ship with the Buzz Droids on it cannot shoot at them unless it can perform attacks at Range 0.

1 - only if putting the Droids at both ends of your base would make them overlap an obstacle. Otherwise, if they fit at one end, they go to that end.

2 - yes, foolproof as far as I know.

3 - the same rules applies that for obstacles - if it fits somewhere without overlapping, it stick three.

4a - having another ship fly over the droids' token makes the token move over to that ship. You may make a sacrificial play with another ship of yours to draw them away.

4b - have them placed in your rear guides and just move forward. They follow only if you overlap or move over them.
