Hello fellow players from the North of the North America !

Living in the Quebec province, I realised just now that a major X-wing event (bigger than HS trials, but smaller than Nationals) is organised but haven't been publicised here. So here I go:

The Millenuim Condor Baladodiffusion Podcast is organising an annual Event Called the Défi Alpha Condor. The first edition got 49 players from all around the Quebec province and was played in Montreal. This Saturday, the 2nd edition will take place at Quebec City, and actually, there are 64 people that have registered to a maximum capacity of 70.

The event will take place at the Boutique l'Imaginaire, in the Place Laurier Shopping Center. And since it's in a shopping center, fiding food will be quite easy

There will be a lot, and when I say a lot, it's a lot, of fan-customized prizes, from all around the world, from Carolina Krayts to Gold Squadron Podcast, including local Frog Squadron Stuff ! I even have seen some cards made in Australia.

For those interested and haven't heard of this tournament, you can find Millenium Condor Baladodiffusion and the Défi Alpha condor 2 event on Facebook, and send them info ! The registering fee is 30 $ at the door, cheaper when paid in advance.

BTW, the tournamenet is played in the Extended Format, 6 rounds, and finalists after that. Beginning at 9AM EST.

Best tournament for east Canada with a tonne of prices! And it's extended format!

Going to be there, representing l'Abyss. Hoping for the best! Just glad to be back to flying Tie-Phantoms after all the HS .

I have looked at the Tournament channel, and I don't know if there is anything like this tournament around.

Does another Podcast is organizing an annual event ?

Mynocks did, I had a flyer passed to me for it last year...

Krayt Cup IV just passed...

yeah, they do.... now... if you ask if another Canadian podcast runs a tournament, well, I think Condor has the monopoly on that.

I'll be there as well Saturday. Looking forward to it. Biggest event I ever attended too.

Thought that some podcasts had surely their own organisation with their players. I was just asking

No worries. Raises an interesting question though... is Condor the only Canadian X-Wing podcast? My French isn’t strong so haven’t given them a listen yet but... you know, something more local would be nice.

It's the sole French podcast in Canada. There are others, English ones, like Sea to Sky.

Millenium Condor also has some English content though. They had guests initially, but now it's mostly their LoreMaster quiz, which is a ton of fun.

No other Canadian X-wing content producers have hosts that could beat a 7 year old (Hi Mark! ;))

Bruno nicely posted a list of Canadian content providers (need Facebook ). There's a few podcasts and a few YouTubers.
