Damage

By Vrykolakas, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Dear,

Sorry if the matter was already covered in another topic, but I looked and did not find it. I have two doubts about the damage.

The TIE / fo pilot "Null" has initiative 7 for initial deploy, move, and engagement phase until damaged. As damage do I already consider the loss of a shield or only if it is direct damage to the Hull?

What about the Stealth Device upgrade? Does the loss of ability (loss of an energy token) occur after the loss of the first shield or the first damage to the hull?

Both situations end after the first damage. My question is precisely whether damage is already considered. The loss of the first shield or if it only refers to damage to the hull?

null says "while you are not damaged". being damaged is a status that requires that at least one damage card is assigned to your ship.

stealth device says "after you suffer damage". suffering damage can be resolved in a couple of ways, loosing shields or being dealt damage cards.

this means null is still i7 even if he's lost his shield. he becomes i0 when a damage card is dealt to him, because that's when the status of being damaged kicks in.

the charge on stealth device, on the other hand, is lost as soon as you suffer damage, even if you resolve suffering that damage by loosing a shield.

Null says "While you are not damaged ". Damaged means you have a damage card dealt to that ship.

Stealth device says "After you suffer damage " which can be shields if you have any. If you have active shields, you might suffer damage without becoming damaged, if the shields take it all.

Thanks for your answers!
