Finished my X-34!

By Kingsguard, in Painting

Finally done! I'm pretty happy with the result. The rodian made a good test subject for my plans on Endor camo for my Rebel Troopers. I may try to put more of a wash on the Twilekk at some point. I magnetized both passengers so I could remove them if I don't have the upgrades on the speeder at the time. Wrote "Justice for Alderaan" in Aurabesh on the hood. Happy with how that turned out. What's everybody think?

I like it i am torn on wanting a classic look and something different like yours. I will probably end up with 2 just to satisfy my indecision. Well done Sir

The thing that made the choice for me was the thought that "why would every X-34 in the universe be painted exactly like Luke Skywalker's?"

An legitimate army looking vehicle. Nicely done. Makes the rebels look less disparate.

I get the feeling FFG was thinking the old beat up pick up truck with the minigun in the back look.

It's actually based on the Converted X-34 from Battlefront II 2.

Maybe it’s just that Luke Skywalker’s X-34 looked like every other one in the universe.

Regardless, your T-34 came out great. I like the way the colors work together, which areas you chose to differentiate and the overall aesthetic of the unit. It really looks like a guerilla warfare vehicle.

I wish these Landspeeders had armored plates riveted onto them like that. I daydreamed about adding some on myself.

Thanks a lot! Yeah, I wanted to make the camouflage and color scheme really simple so one could conceivably imagine a rebel with a few cans of spraypaint in some backalley garage or hidden jungle camp painting an old civilian speeder up for war.

So someone should make a X-34 with a Bright Red paintjob, Chrome trim to make it look like a brand new civilian model as if the Rebels recently stole it from a Dealership. Then to make it look a bit more combat worthy, add a few blaster bolt impacts along the bright shiny hull for weathering but don't go overboard.

Remember what Henry Ford said, "you can have it in any color you want, as long as it's black."

I happen to agree with you though. I'm painting my friends speeder for him and he wants it like on the box...I really want to paint it something fun! I've tried convincing him, but hes sticking to his guns. I'm sad I won't be able to paint it in the black and gold scheme of the Pontiac Firebird...maybe if he gets another one. 😕

Yeah, that'd be cool.

Who wouldn't want two of them?
