Any players near Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany?

By cadetvw, in Star Wars: Armada Organized Play

I’ve got a good group of guys here in Tampa, FL that I play with regularly but I’m moving to Germany in a couple months. Specifically the Kaiserslautern area (Ramstein AB). I obviously love the game and want to keep playing if I can.

Wondering if there were any groups in the area already? or if I will have to get busy converting folks when I show up? Or if I just have to drive for a bit to find someone?

@Tokra @Darth Veggie @RealVeers

I believe the answer is that there is a german language forum somewhere

Thanks!

Well then it’s time to get proficient with google translate (for said forum) until I can get better at the German language.

Most of the German players use the Mos Eisley forum:

You can even post in this in English, i am sure some will be able to help you.
There are quite a few player in this area. I am sadly a bit far away from Kaiserlautern (500km; 280 miles).

Actually there was a guy searching on facebook for buddies in Kaiserlautern. I pinged Veggie for him as well, I could try to get you two together. :)

I do live in Rheinland-Pfalz (kind of). There is a community of players in Heidelberg where I am sometimes are.

You could try facebook as well:

I know a guy from Kaiserslautern, American/british fellow, I will write him to check out this thread or to leave a mail so you can contact him.

Hallo Fleet Admirals,

Danke RealVeers for the message. Some Deutsche Armada players and I created a Facebook page for the Kaiserslautern area (see below link). Most players in Deutschland use T3 to schedule casual and official tournaments, but other countries participate, like France, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, and Poland. For example, I'm attending a tournament in Paris this weekend which was listed on T3. The UK does not participate but they do have a lot of tournaments going on. The most active place for Armada players in Deutschland is near Hamburg. The Kaiserslautern community has potential but needs to grow. Local players like, Thorsten Asal, and the store owner of Battle Bear have been helpful in recruiting new players. FYI, the European Armada Championship is in Poland this year (see link number 4). If anyone has any questions feel free to ask.

Thank you all for the quick responses! Time to join the Facebook groups and go searching for my fellow admiral types.

Again thanks!

He said he'll write in this post. So hopefully he can help you!
