My goal with this fleet is to have a decent chance against any oncoming fleet comp. The Kuat is a classic BTA + xracks for a punishing blow. The Glad is upgraded for survivability to get in a few nice APT hits and then scoot away. My squad plan is to be lean and mean. Scatter on all four of them and a deadly counter 3 as well via Dengar. The Gozaniti with hangar bays makes a decent carrier for the few squads. Thoughts? Improvements?

Points: 391/400

Commander: Admiral Screed

Assault Objective: Opening Salvo
Defense Objective: Jamming Barrier
Navigation Objective: Solar Corona

Gladiator I-Class Star Destroyer (56 points)
- Demolisher ( 10 points)
- Minister Tua ( 2 points)

- Electronic Countermeasures ( 7 points)
- Assault Proton Torpedoes ( 5 points)
= 92 total ship cost

Gozanti-class Cruisers (23 points)
- Comms Net ( 2 points)
= 25 total ship cost

Gozanti-class Cruisers (23 points)
- Expanded Hangar Bay ( 5 points)
- Slicer Tools ( 7 points)
= 35 total ship cost

[ flagship ] Imperial Star Destroyer Kuat Refit (112 points)
- Admiral Screed ( 26 points)
- Avenger ( 5 points)
- Captain Brunson ( 5 points)
- Boarding Troopers ( 3 points)
- Reinforced Blast Doors ( 5 points)
- Leading Shots ( 4 points)
- External Racks ( 3 points)
= 163 total ship cost

1 Soontir Fel ( 18 points)
1 IG-88 ( 21 points)
1 Ciena Ree ( 17 points)
1 Dengar ( 20 points)
= 76 total squadron cost

No need for screed. Drop screed for motti or jj and take ecms/ews for better damage mitigation. Squads will die quickly to a dedicated ball. Expanded hangers is useless on the gozanti as you can activate all of them already. Drop Brunson for pryce. Drop tua/ecms and put on Brunson. Kill engine techs. Use points, and maybe the points from one of the gozantis to buy more squads, starting with MMJ. IG-88 is one of the most eh out of all the rouges. I recommend looking st something else first.

The first two are personal preference, and I wouldn’t drop ET. Not inherently bad ideas, just clarifying since the rest are pretty clear-cut good calls.

What if you are second player?

I've taken demo w/ and w/o engine techs, and everytime I've taken demo w/o engine techs I've wished that I had em. It's an expensive upgrade at 8 pts, but I believe its worth it.

If you're taking tua on demo I'd go with RBD's over ECM.

I'd consider Most wanted over Opening Salvo for your red objective.

Drop IG88 for Zertik. He'll synergize better with Soontir, he's cheaper, and he'll stay alive longer buying you more time/better coverage.

Engine Techs should stay. It gives you a lot of options and allows you to successfully chase fleeing ships. Screed is not needed here, I would take JJ > Motti > Screed. Turning that big ol' ISD boat like it's a Gladiator is huge.

Alright I've swapped Screed for JJ and dropped Tua/ECMs on the Glad for Brunson and replaced her with DCO on the ISD. I also changed up the squad lineup a bit:

1 Dengar ( 20 points)
1 Howlrunner ( 16 points)
1 Soontir Fel ( 18 points)
1 Ciena Ree ( 17 points)
1 Zertik Strom ( 15 points)

Also now at 389/400

I would consider swapping Ciena for Mauler; otherwise she'll be shot at last. With Mithel, your opponent wants to kill everything immediately after getting through Zertik, forcing hard choices (plus heavy auto-damage has great synergy with Soontir and Counter.)

I mean, I thought the original list looked fine. Swapping to JJ or Motti would be good since you have reroll tech and shouldn't need Screed, the additional durability of Motti is great on a list like this.. Squad ball relevance is dependent on your meta but it looks like it'll work if utilized well.
