Animate Weapons, Dark Charm and Turn Question

1. Does Animate Weapon work similar to Dark Charm? Meaning I can make the Attack, using surges like i want? The Card reads "...that hero must make one attack that only affects himself..." and the heroes and I agreed to letting the heroes attack themselves in my order and they did not spend any surges at all.

2. Does the Dodge Order apply to Dark Charm or Animate Weapons?

3. Is it correct, if i a hero interrupts me (OL), that it is still the Overlords turn? Preventing him to play any Feat Cards with "Play at the start of your turn..." wording.

1. Basically yes. There are no clear rules for how to do it but the only way that makes actual sense, and has rules precedence, is to treat it as a specialised Dark Charm (each hero's attack only affects self).

So next time, when i play Animate Wepaon, I will make an attack under my control, spending as much surges as i like :D
