Moto Avengers ... walk?

By Void Crane, in Legend of the Five Rings: The Roleplaying Game

Looking in the Shadowlands book and I just noticed that the Moto Avenger does not seem to get a horse in their starting outfit. Is that an oversight? Or is there a glaring gap in my Moto knowledge (that explains why they forgo horses). Here I was thinking how much I liked their crunch, and then had to wonder if they go through life while the rest of the Unicorn are laughing at them behind their backs and to their face.

"Ahh avenger-san. Did you have a nice hike on your way over here to the saki house? Was it a long walk for you? ... You know, all of us rode over. On our horses."

Well, the male Utaku have a dedicated infantry school (had, I suppose, in Old5R), so the Moto Avenger could have an Utaku Infantry yojimbo, and they they walk together!

I don't know specifically about the Avenger, but in Old5R, a lot of the infantry the Unicorn would field post-Gaheris was from the Moto family.

You don't want to take a horse into the shadowlands, that's how you get evil horses.

Touche.

Just give them a horse... Not gonna break anything. Remove a piece of starting gear they have if you really want.

The horse is more RP than anything else.
