So as stated before I play a Starfighter Ace/Shii-Cho Knight before, recently we finished a long session which gave about 40 xp and I have been trying to decide upon how to spend in it or what to spend it on. I've considered trying to pick up another saber style or if i should add knight to it for a higher force rating or continue to further my training in Shii-Cho. Any advice would be welcomed as I have been kind of stressing over this for sometime.

start by filling in your skills and talents in the trees you have now. that will give you the most bang for your buck. also add appropriate force powers like enhance for piloting.
Unless you have a talent that keys off the number of ranks in a skill I would recommend not getting more than 3 ranks in a skill for most builds. Knight is a great spec, it's hard to go wrong taking it.

I agree. But I also think filling existing trees are an important place to start. A talent tree you own but havent filled in is not much use.

A usually correct statement but like all things it's conditional/depends on the tree, for padawan I'd want to take more than a quarter but less than a half, closer to a half, right side is what I'm more interested in. Padawan is a great way to get a cheap force rating and dedication with several interesting talents at the same time. But if you want less than a quarter of a tree it's an indicator that you shouldn't take it (usually)
Thank you for the advise. I talked to me DM about taking Knight and he said that he can work with this, but he is going to start me as a Padawan before I go knight, which I think is cool and will present some good roleplaying elements when I find my 'master'. But I am going to fill in some more of the Shii-Cho tree cause there is still some good stuff to get, like the fourth parry and natural blademaster as well as the quick draw and second winds.
