Lieutenant Sai and upgrade actions

By Snowflake337, in X-Wing Rules Questions

A bit new to this game so bare with me, If I have Director Krennic on Sai is his lock action considered part of Sai's action bar?

My goal here is to coordinate a lock on a friendly ship and then perform a lock with Sai.

The "action bar" rules are a bit vague on what qualifies, though based on my understanding upgrade actions are considered part of your action bar.

Thanks in advance

Yes it is, from the rules reference under Actions:

Some upgrade cards have an action bar that lists one or more actions. These actions are added to the ship’s action bar and therefore are standard actions that the ship can perform.

hi, to make krennik work maybe it's better the lambda title. so you can coordinate a focus with sai giving a focus to another ship (maybe the one with advanced prototipe condition) and to yourself then target lock (thanks to the title) a ship that is a possible target of the ship with "advanced prototipe".

in this way it should run better and my experience is you can trigger it about 2/3 times a game.

lamda/krennik/title is a good choise if you pair it with a v1 supernatural r. inquisitor (to boost the 2 dices only primay) or another very manuvrable ship

maybe a little overpriced for what it does and how it is difficult to trigger.... but fun.

For future reference, keep in mind the wording, too.

" These actions are added to the ship’s action bar "

This includes upgrades like Tactical Officer.

Even though a red Coordinate is a prerequisite to equip it, it ADD's a white coordinate, it doesn't replace the red one already on your bar. Meaning you can choose to perform a Red OR a White coordinate. This can become important in some situations, such as if you have a Tie Reaper, and *want* the stress to stop your Adaptive Ailerons from triggering next turn.

Just to avoid possible confusion: The original printing of Tactical Officer in the TIE Reaper was worded to turn your red action white. It's gotten errata to play it by the current wording.
