Wait... tell me that immune:pierce and impervious aren't cumulative. If yes, better it can say immune: vader.

there was a live stream awhile ago that alexy davy said no they aren't stackable the rules update before she gets release will show this. its if you have the dark saber you don't have impervious type of thing.

Clarification - if you are able to use the keyword immune Pierce than it does not stack.

Sabine with dark saber still gets impervious against ranged pierce attacks because her immune only applies to melee.

You can put down 2 charges and then you get a free move so that you’re out of the way if you want to insta-detonate

Because it's 2 charges that both attack everything at range 1. Toss them in the middle of even just 2 units and they attack 4 times. It's also longer range than most think because you place that charge at range 1 of you and it hits everything at range 1 of itself, so total threat range is a little more than range 2.

Arming requires you to place "within" range 1, so the limit of what you can hit is units that are at range 2 of yourself.

Hypothetically Sabine can move then arm and do the Speed 1 move back out of range, which is range 2.5 from her starting position.

Alternatively, if she’s already close enough that range 1 threatens an enemy, she could maneuver to be as far as range 4 on detonation (if that were somehow advantageous)

Im not sure I like Sabine...she seems all over the place specialty wise with no real way to capitalise.

Then again, she is a weaker solo, or a weaker Luke...so if she synergises somehow with either or both of them two you can sort of double your fun.

Red dice surge save Rebel though...so theres that.

The way I see it, Sabine has 2, maybe three roles she can be used for - not necessarily mutually exclusive.

First and leanest is just as a Flanker. She's got Jump 2, Speed 3. She doesn't need sharpshooter if she scoots around to the side and doesn't have to shoot through cover. You can have her get around or behind enemy units and keep them suppressed and shear off a few guys to keep them weak.

Second is as a leader or spearpoint unit. With her 2- and 3-pip cards and her mobility you use her for like a smash and grab on strategic points, open up the way for other units to follow on and stay mobile at a critical point.

And then if you use all the bells and whistles, I think she's a stall or tank unit. Darksaber, shield, grapple, etc. Throw her into enemies, gum them up in a melee where she's hard to kill. Blast them with the grapple to pin them down, throw thermal charges at chokepoints so the enemy has to slow an advance or pay for it, and basically draw all the aggro into the areas you choose so you can get work done.

She is basically the Swiss army knife version of Boba😂
