Imperial Squadron Help

Hey guys, I'm looking for some help with imperial squadrons. Or more specifically what is a good balance of squadrons for a general use group?

The one I came up with is this:

4 TIE Defenders

4 TIE Bombers

1 TIE Advanced

1 Jumpmaster 5000

It totals 124 points, 80% have bomber, 50% are competent fighters and it's compact enough to be commanded in a single turn. I understand that MMJ is the empire's compact wrecking ball, but I am looking for something different. Or at the very least something that doesn't rely heavily on unique squadrons and aces.

Who is your admiral? If it’s Sloan then the bombers are useless and you would go with more regular ties.

I was thinking Thrawn, largely to make sure that the squadron commands went out. Also slicer tools immunity. Also yah with Sloane the bombers are useless AF. Vader + Dengar is an amising combo though. Either burn a token or deal damage on a counter attack.

I'm sure its a noob question, but as I want to "git gud" with Imperial squadrons I don't understand the comment about Sloane and bombers?

Rogues, yes, but why are bombers useless with Sloane?

They have no accuracy results when shooting ships (that's TIE Bombers, other ships with the bomber keyword like Defenders are still useful)

Rhymer can have some fringe value in a support role but suffers from, well, being Rhymer.

Could be looking at something like this? Quite a popular Thrawn build atm though they usually have huge bids. The squad build you want is all there supported by an ISD to be the heavy finisher, a Quasar to provide the big squad push and your flight controllers (my personal preference as you wont want to risk losing air superiority against another fighter ball) and a Gozanti provides your reroll for your bombers, which should make taking capital a ship down much easier.

Potential changes I thought of were taking a defender out to upgrade Tempest to Zertick (giving your Jumpmaster more survivability), that would give you 13 points to use either as a bid or other upgrades (you could go the route of Boarding troopers and Avenger for the ISD though that might be overkill).
