I think it's hard to talk about win percentage for a deck like this, because Brutal Offering is a card that can really catch a lot of players with their pants down, but isn't particularly devastating if your opponent is thinking about it (especially against Skaven, who can adjust to a mid-tempo control style on the fly). I noticed the same thing playing Troll Vomit from a Chaos board: the surprise factor gives you free wins. I think there are decent DE builds that do not include Brutal Offering, so it's not like players *should* necessarily be playing around it...

I'm not sure that foreknowledge of Brutal Offering's existence in a deck is all that helpful in preventing it from hurting you, really, is it? I'm probably just missing something (like usual). But Cyberfunk, I totally agree that it can be really helpful to catch people off-guard with the odd card that they're not expecting from your deck. Those are always fun to spring on people. ![]()
I'm going to continue to have some fun testing out this nifty deck (which at the very least is well-tuned and played very well, clearly, by Ironclaw)...but I'm curious to see if it can turn things around here with more matches under my belt with it.
It depends on the draw to some extent, I suppose. But, if you know BO (?) is coming, you probably want to make sure it doesn't take out four or five cards at once. And, you might want to have an extra hammer or two in Quest to replace the guys it does kill. You might try to time your removal such that they can't play BO in response.
