The tariffs already got bumped out to 6/15 before they take effect. The current backlog of stuff (Downed AT-ST, X-Wing Wave 4) should have easily all been in the country well before that (and even before the originally planned tariff date of 6/1) in order to hit their planned release dates.

If the tariffs are causing these delays, it is much more likely that lots of companies are trying to push goods into the country before the tariffs ratchet up, causing backups at the port and in customs. I don't think FFG is holding product in hope of waiting this out.

If the tariffs are the issue, then FFG wouldn't be having ANY new releases right now, card games included. Unless other products FFG sells aren't printed in China, which I would find surprising.

The issue may be related to some forms being filled out incorrectly, either by FFG or some other company that has a container in the same "processing lot," or as Dr. Lucky stated just a big backlog of goods needing to be processed. I'd imagine perishable goods get pushed to the front of the queue before toys that will be perfectly fine in a container for months.

Regardless, until the end of the month NONE of the Legion releases are technically delayed since they called for Q2 release date. Lots of games have different release dates for different markets. FFG may at this time plan on hitting that date by doing a large release (the thought of which hurt my wallet).

The Upcoming page is joked to be maintained by an unpaid intern, it's not designed for anything other than to give us an idea of upcoming products and a rough idea of when to look for them on shelves, and for that matter where does it specify that the upcoming page is strictly for US releases? Now, the issue with the North American product being delayed (I've heard reports of Canada also not having their product) is the FFG warehouses are in the US, so of course ordering from the online store would be a "preorder," but the product is "In Store" for quite a few other countries where English is commonly spoken/read. eck, I remember when the Rebel troopers preview article went up with the wrong release date. Much of FFG's site updates are likely automated, with scheduled updates rather than someone sitting down and hitting all the buttons so accidents are bound to happen.

FFG does ship products though, so they either have a way around the problems for those products or there is something specifically wrong with the star wars products. I could be a problem with the factory that does their miniatures. Maybe there was a fire or flood. Who knows since we aren't told. Maybe there is a license issue right now and things are being delayed until it is worked out.

Problem is, we don't know and won't know cause FFG communicates like spouse having an affair.

Well, keyforge had their release on time (that, or they just conveniently didn’t announce a date until it was ready).

I am guessing it’s probably not tariff related, at least directly. It’s more likely tied to a backlog at the port or a snafu somewhere. It really stinks because I was hyped for the new toys over in x-wing that are late, and I’m really wanting to see some of the new units for Legion.

That said, I doubt its ffg’s fault. Their only real flaw in this was the communication or failure to do so.

Other Star Wars stuff is getting released in the past few months so it probably isn't about the overall license - two RPG books have been released already in Q2 (one long delayed), the release of the Convergence set for Destiny happened spread over late March and early April (and the hype for the next set is spinning up appropriately), and Outer Rim is finally about to drop in the US. The present big delays and uncertainty seems to be contained to Legion and X-Wing.

Alright, so just the miniatures that are having issues.

GW has been having some issues also, and I've had some third party card sleeves delayed too.

It may not directly be the tariffs, but tariffs have to be enforced and collected, and customs and ports have to ramp up all sorts of logistical things to prepare for that which can cause chaos at the ports. As someone else mentioned its also possible companies are trying to jam their product through before the tariffs take effect.

Or its possible this has nothing to do with the tariffs at all and a container fell off the boat, or something. Or maybe pirates. That would be more exciting.

Entirely possible all the big boys have all the ships packed with their stuff trying to get in before the tariffs hit that the little people like FFG can't get their stuff on a boat. Australia already has the new X-wing stuff. So they've been built. They just aren't coming here.

I am sure there is yet another bad made for netflix movie about pirates getting all of FFGs booty off a ship and then one of the pirate kids having nothing better to do than play X-wing all the time. He gets so good he goes to worlds and pwns everybody only to be found out at the end and DQed. Oh the drama.

I dunno. But. Joan of Arc: Time of Legends has arrived. I've got all the product I can handle this month. That was slated for December and it's June. So yeah. Not FFG but it shows how things happen.

Yeah, the repeated delays with the SSD coupled with the problems for both X-Wing and Legion show that there is certainly a problem somewhere that predates the fears of tariffs. During the wait for Armada's second wave, I remember the stories of a big fire at the production plant in China. Such a disaster could make sense to a certain extent, but we probably should have heard something about it by now.

That feels a little different though. At least Andy Navarro came out, explained the delays, and gave a general updated timeline. Yeah, the Executor is late, but that isn't really surprising in the same way as the Legion Downed AT-ST or X-Wing Wave 4 delays (both of which had very near term dates announced and then withdrawn).

At least with X-wing wave 4, FFG did say it was delayed. FG has'nt said anything about the downed AT-ST delay. Would be nice to get something from them. Something like "We are sorry, do to factors out of our control, the Downed AT-ST expasion is delayed in the USA. When we have more solid info, we will let you know."

It was massively over-funded, beyond anything they dreamt of. It cost $125 plus shipping for a core game. The stretch goals wound up being insane. I can't see the point in buying any expansions except the Siege castle and maybe spare bases, because frankly, the contents of every other expansion are simulated by the stretch goals.

They made some false claims to historiocity with this game. The supernatural creatures are NOT the way medieval people depicted them in artwork/writing, despite Mythics specific claims that they are. Also the weapons/armor of the heroes (who are all real people) are very fantasy based. The retail version of the core game is only going to retail for $60 and seems like it's about half the size, even not counting stretch goals. I am annoyed by this for various reasons but what can you do? I just hope the expansions are sold at retail, like they said/strongly implied they would be. I really want that castle but didn't want to buy it until after my core set is painted up.

Overall I'm very satisfied. This is pretty much THE medieval fantasy game I would've wanted when I was 15. I bought two, one to resell and one to keep. I might even sell some of my personal copies of the stretch goals. There's just so. much. stuff!

They told us it was delayed the final week of it's 3 month release window..... When it wasn't on the boat 2 months before that it should have been obvious to then it was going to be delayed. Best part was it was delayed 6 months..... "O so you haven't even started it yet... Okay."

It sounds pretty cool. I hope you enjoy the game and the painting. I wanted to get in on the Batman board game Kickstarter but it is too pricey for me (after shipping from the uk to the US) but man it looked good and had box after box after box as well.

the shipping page is only significant (at least base on past releases i.e. almost all of them) that the shipping now signifies that it will be release in two weeks.
but with these release if they kept their updates like normal then it would be change to shipping now either today or tmrw.
now granted the spanish sight also had good updates does state that bossk and sabine and vet hoth troopers are going to release in two weeks.

FWIW, several stores (including one of our local ones here) have said Bossk and Sabine will be released on the 28th of this month.

A lot of stores were saying and/or showing that the AT-ST Down was to be out on the 23rd of last month as well, and we saw how well that worked out.
