Downed AT-ST now listed as "in stores now"

I wonder what the issue was that stopped it coming out in USA last week.

Well, I guess I now believe that Bossk and Sabine aren't coming out in May now.

well the tariffs weren't going to effect anything already in the water before they kicked int so i don't know why the wouldn't push them to get shipped real quick.

No, but border control and customs can be told to bump Chinese goods to lower priority for processing. Or there could have been an issue with some other container on the ship that triggered a more in depth inspection of all containers on the ship.

I've seen Kickstarter deliveries delayed because some other importer using that ship /container didn't fill in the right forms on the past.

yeah all of my kickstarter stuff i have now are currently putting out a warning that there could be a price change due to the tariffs but are working to get stuff change (like moving printing to states or other countries) or delayed. they are right now working on donatation base to help cover the charges they are seeing.

Starting to get annoyed with the Downed AT-ST. FFG says its out in the US. Miniature Market, where I ordered it from still listing it as pre order.

Sounds like it's an issue with the distributor then.

Cant remember which model it was, but I do remember a week where about half the country got a model and the other half had to wait another week. Probably shipping errors/delays to the distributors. They usually ship to the "big boys" first if they ever have to split or limit their shipments.

My FLGS just contacted the supplier apparently the release date for the downed AT-ST in Canada has been pushed back to June 27th due to unspecified delays

The downed AT-ST ..... its release date was bound to be broken.

The currently announced stuff will come out June through August then in September will get clone wars. This is all assuming tariffs have zero impact on ffg. That isn't reality so who knows?

I'm VERY frustrated over this right now. I ordered the downed AT-ST and a few other Legion items from Miniature Market. I called them. They told me that there distributor doesn't have it yet. I told them that on the FFG upcoming product page, its listed as "in stores now". But you click on the item on that page and it says it's still in pre order.

I feel like FFG, the US distributor and Miniature Market are all passing the blame to each other. I'd like some straight answers. But I'm not sure how much it will do because at this point I feel I'll be lied to mo matter what. I've heard so many different stories on if it's out or not. Not sure what to believe.

It's likely either FFG to distributors, or Distributors to retailers. MM is not likely at fault here. My LGS hasn't gotten them either. I don't think we will be getting them this week either.

It seems like we’ve passed when the release date for the ST was supposed to be, and it’s available in Europe and Australia, but not the US. The same thing apparently happened with x-wing wave 4.

This sounds like it may not be entirely on FFG. They certainly could communicate better, though.

On his patreon Sorastro said Sabine was delayed until July.

The Upcoming page is generally well known for being outright wrong at worst and unreliable at best. My suggestion is treat it like a clock that only has an hour hand, and ticks between different numbers rather than sweeping: you can get a general idea of what time it is, but you don't really know the exact time. Technically the Downed AT-ST is in stores somewhere in the world, just not in North America (at least as far as I know).

FFG purposefully obfuscates information about upcoming product, they always have. If they don't announce a specific release date, then the product can't be late. Also, publicly announcing issues with business they rely on (distributors, manufacturers, shippers, etc) is a good way to invite the ire of those companies, even if they don't name and shame.

I wish they'd do what GW does... announce a release date 1-2 weeks before the product is up for pre-order and then generally deliver on that date. Rarely much information regarding a timeframe (the only one I'm currently aware of is the Enforcers in August).

I would actually really like this. We have months of release content knowledge but no way to keep the hype going.

Just tell us about the goodies closer to go time, and the buzz will be nonstop until they are in hand.

Yes they should communicate better. With X-wing wave 4, they said it was going to be delayed. FFG should have said that the downed AT-ST has been delayed in the USA. But nothing, and one page says its in stores. While another page on the same site, says it's still in pre order stage. Why can't FFG be straight with us?

Obviously not available in the US. America has been made great again. I don't know about you, but I like countries where their AT-STs are all functional and not these pit mole countries where their AT-STs are all broken downed.

If FFG has a problem with the tariffs, they certainly don't want to get political by saying as such. The smart thing is for them to keep their mouth shut, which is what they are doing.

I'm not expecting FFG to say why its delayed. But just being upfront and telling us it is delayed would go a long way.

But don't have pages on your site that has different information on if it's out yet and say nothing. Especially since it's out everyplace except the USA it seems.

I really hope a brave podcast host (or two) has the guts to ask Steve why things like the upcoming page and the Imperial Specialists article are ignored. I'm starting to wonder if Bossk will not get an article because of a slip up on their release.

The Downed AT-ST has been reset to "On the Boat" status as of this morning. It still hasn't actually released in the US. For what it's worth, Bossk and Sabine also finally say that they are "On the Boat" though I've got very little faith in the Upcoming page anymore, so I'm taking that with a grain of salt.

I have a strong feeling the product will remain on the boat until these needless tariffs are removed. They are in an impossible situation. Don’t deliver their product and upset their base or release the product at an increased cost and upset their player base.
