Just wondering about this as i am looking for some type of munition i might add to Miranda and if the point would be best served else where. What would any everyone here do in this situation? Thanks everyone.
Barrage Rockets. Are they worth it?
K-Wings like Barrage Rockets in general. Secret sauce for Miranda is Hotshot gunner+Bomblet and nothing else. Keep her cheap.
Barrage rockets are certainly worth it on other k-wings: you can put your turret sideways and use the rockets to cover your front arc.
Miranda doesn't want rockets though - she wants to fire her primary weapon to use her ability. Moser is onto the right idea with his build. Normal bombs can only reload 1 at a time, and the reload action stops miranda shooting, which we don't want. Both bomblets can be reloaded for a single shield, which means Miranda is only spending every second attack recovering a shield for her bomblets, and every other turn she can use her attack for damage or staying alive.
You want to be dropping bomblets very often with that miranda, and only SLAMing if it will save you from taking lots of damage. The primary purpose of her attack is to recharge her health (and bomblets) and strip focusses with the gunner, so you should only spend a shield to roll and extra die if you're sure it will net you a kill
Thanks greatly.
You both gave me a better idea on what to do with k-wings in general and Miranda more specifically. The rest of the night i will be running new ideas in my head.
It's a bit pricey, but I've been wanting to try out Miranda + Han gunner + either ProTorps or Barrage Rockets, with optional PerCo. While shields are up, you get a I7 3 dice shot followed by I4 3-4 dice shot, and when they're down you get to regenerate a shield, get a 1 die shot (might do a bit of extra damage against 0-1 agility ships) and still get the I4 ordnance shot.

Hotshot is great for 1-dice shots, though.
"Yeah, I know I just rolled a blank against your five natural evades. Sorry but you lose your focus anyway."

You sold me on the idea of how even a 1 dice natty can still ruin a 5 evade ships's round potentially day depending on what the rest of your list could do for the rest of that round.
The quad K-Wing list with Barrage Rockets, Proton Bombs and Sabine is a very solid list, with a 270 degree firing arc, good mobility and a metric crapton of health to chew through.
Not sure how they'd fare individually or in a mixed Rebel list, but they're certainly reliable.

I have moved to proton torps on 2 of the 4 K-wings. Barrage rockets do have a problem with lots of 3-agi ships, particularly 4/5/6 RZ-2 A-wings.
Just my experience.
