We are talking the elephant in the room, discuss cheating and part 2 of painting minis.

I don't understand the part on cheating. I mean, what lead someone to say "Ok, I need to cheat in order to win" ? What do they prove ? That they can't win without cheating ? That the list they play need to cheat to be efficient ?

If you have to cheat to end up on a top, you don't deserve it, and you lower the importance of the top itself.

I personally think cutting people from rounds/tiers/waves encourages cheating. Set the number of games played and that’s that.

Some cheaters view themselves as "smarter" or "better" because they were able to get away with it. Others have a mindset of"everyone cheats in little ways, why shouldn't I?" or are doing it for the notoriety of having their name posted as a "top player." The fact that they cheated doesn't mean they view the top as less important, arguably some may view winning as more important than someone who wants to win but follows the rules since the cheater is willing to risk disqualification in order to win.

Having a "winner" encourages cheating. Most of the high level events don't cut you from the tournament, you just end up matched with opponents that have the same record. Once you have a loss though, you are generally out of the contention for the top spots.

back when I was in the army, some guys were cheating at Spades because they could, even though they were way ahead. It was more about cheating than about winning. I have seen cheaters in competitive play and there will always be those guys because it is the nature of the beast

I have friends who cheat at Solitaire. It’s the ultimate extension of the idea that “the object of the game is to win”. I see it as, cheating intentionally means you aren’t actually playing the game anymore. They don’t. To me the game is a shadow universe which only exists when we play by its rules. To them, it’s an action in life like washing dishes or flying a kite. However the dishes get clean, however you win, whatever keeps the kite flying, it’s all the same.

The only XBOX 1 games I play have been Skyrim and Fallout 4. Im finally level 23 in Skyrim with no cheat mods or exploits.

...but im chomping at the bit.

I also didnt declare some income last year on my taxes.

Im a filthy cheater.
