Dwarven Tinkerin Blitz

By Danton, in Warhammer Invasion Deck Building

Hello There!!

I've tested this deck the other night and it quite worked, even against Skaos and Orc decks... (1-1 against each)

SUPPORT: 26

Anvil of Doom X3

Great Book of Grudges X2

Gromril Armour X3

Knight Training X3

Flame Cannon X3

Warpstone Excavation X3

Keystone Forge X3

Hellblaster Volley Gun X3

Alliance Dwarf / Empire X3

UNITS: 24

Errant Wolf X3

Gold Wizard Acolyte X3

Dwarf Ranger X3

Gurni's Elite X3

Dwarf Cannon Crew X3

Peasant Militia X3

Gurni Thorgrimson X3

Troll Slayers X3

TACTICS: 0!!!

The idea is to have a support or two in the kingdom (to have 5 ressources to bring Gurni), a dwarf and/or errant in the quest, the rest in the battlefield to equip and storm the adversary...not very strategic but fun...

nice ;)

I have a similar one - major differences is that it is a bit more grudgy with Slayers of Karak Kadrin, Stand Your Ground, Grudgebearer (which i proxy, but will be a great addition). Also Mountain Legion, Mountain Barracks to force opponent to invest more resources in getting rid of the units. For this reason, I use no empire units, although Gold Wiz is really handy i bet. Great Book of Grudges i like to put on on Slayers of Karak Kadrin. I also use Wake the Mountain to give a boost to Hellblaster-equiped unit. Dwarf Cannon Crew is awesome in battlefield....REALLY wish each core set came with two, not one of them. I anticipate on replacing Keystone Forge with Mining Tunnels to help fuel the Hellblaster once its available. gran_risa.gif

Cool deck but the Dwarf Rangers seem a lot less useful with so few Dwarf Units in play. That's the only downside I'm seeing here.

Perhaps not in this deck, but it's worth noting that the Dwarf Rangers are often best played in the battlefield to get some scouting in. If your opponent has underpowered their quest zone it can be very effective. Knowing which zone to play them in takes a bit of practice.

Well I have to admit that use for them is something I'd nearly forgotten compared to just how very useful their primary power is for a Dwarf-centric deck. Too funny. I forget that they use Scout. Wow, I must have a lot on my mind lately...
