I put A Ronin's Path before the opening fictions - it features a character who is killed in Dark Hands of Heaven (Hida Tomonatsu). Either that, or a character with exactly the same personal and family names. She would be the only example of that, if it were the case.

The Clan letters are all after the Scorpion novella by about a month, I reckon. Before Imperial Gifts , perhaps?

For some reason I have A Simple Test right before the Wedding at Kyotei Castle, but I don't remember the topic of the fiction.

Fires of Justice is just before Fate of Flames .

Sins of Regret we have no context for really. I'm tempted to say it's before the death of the Emperor, since Imperial family daimyo reckon they can get away with things.

That said its would not be unheard of for someone closely related to take up the same name post Gempukku as a "tribute" to a fallen parent or sibling. We had that situation in the old game with Hida Kisada and his grandson Hida Kisada (which got extra confusing when Grandpa came back from the dead) or Moto Chagatai's Father Moto Gaheris and his Grandfather Moto Gaheris

Yeah, but the Tomonatsu in A Ronin's Path is a Tower Commander, making it unlikely that she is a relative who just passed gempukku and took her new ancestor's name in memory. They're either the same person, or completely unrelated people with the same name who happened to be alive at the same time.

No, A Ronin's Path is before Her Father's Daughter . I'd be tempted to say that it's somewhere in 1122.

And Sins of Regret looks like it could take place over months, but I'd suggest that it may take place in the time when there was no Emerald Champion.

Sins is kind of timeline agnostic as it takes place outside of the main goings on of the Empire in a relative "backwater" Imperial holding with no real connection to any of the main stories goings on.

Thanks for the clues. Since there is a problem with harvest (rice is sown in early june, grows between June-August, and is harvest early september), maybe it's more probably that occurs in august-september, after the common people gets raged. It it was in june, they had had time to sow again.

Another option is wheat or another autumn crop. These let us place the action after Kiku Matsuri warning about meishodo, and before Tadaka challenge.

Of course, I'm no expert, and I don't know if you have more clues to enlight this question.

Thanks for the tips...I have Path of Waves and Sins of Regret, but I haven't tried to put them on the timeline yet. I'll need to take a closer look but you've given me a lot of advice.

I added Fires of Justice as a separate line.
I have the 2019 clan letters 1 month +1 week after the Scorpion Clan Novel. The 2018 clan letters I haven't put in, but I'll work on it this week.
Same for simple test. I need to work on that. I appreciate you pointing it out. A Simple Test comes immediately after the Test of the Emerald Champion, and mostly involves aramoro pouting. I don't know what Wedding would have to do with it, though I will try to place that too.

I added the 2018 Clan Letters with justifications...they're about 3 weeks after Toshi Ranbo was given to the Scorpion in Imperial Gifts, which is pretty close to a month. Amusingly, the 2019 letters take place only about a week later, but if you read the letters themselves, the timing actually works.

A Simple Test just had a mislabled link, so I fixed it. It fits in about 2 weeks after the test of the Emerald Championship.

I still need to add the ronin RPG and book, though I'm betting they'd best go before Her Father's Daughter (and Dark hand of heaven).

Quick note - A Ronin's Path is the adventure in the beta version of the RPG rules, not anything to do with the new RPG book.

Updated with the new fiction. Still thinking about where to put some of the stories from RPG and otherwise.
