So far I have been to 2 different Vault Tours, one was part of a con that I had to buy a badge for.. and it didn't even take place at the convention site. So my question is this, for both Gen con and Origins will I need to buy a badge or will it be off site again like the other 2?

From my understanding, even though it was 'off-site' you still needed a badge for the adepticon vault tour.

My understanding of Gen Con/Origins setup is that they have enough room to run everything onsite, so that would require a badge. That may have changed since my last time attending either was 2015, but that has been remarkably consistent for these conventions.

I'd be willing to bet some serious Aember that you will need a GenCon badge. The event area is gargantuan. If it helps, I'm fairly certain GenCon offers 1-day or 2-day passes so you don't have to commit to the whole weekend if you don't want to. You should though, it's an experience!

Single day badges at GenCon are $60, while four day badges are $110. Go for all four days and, err, save money!

Both Origins and GenCon require badges for entry to Con and then also purchase of the KeyForge events.
