What do you guys think of Mon Mothma as a soft counter to 2-ship builds?

Three MC30s going for the ISD and two CR90ET for long range support.

Will probably take some other assault objective and move the commander to one of the corvettes. One CR90 can also be substituted for a GR75 and some A-wings if that would help.

I would appreciate any feedback on the viability against 2-ship and other competetive list archetypes!

Is there a reason to favour DTT over TRC? Is it to maintain 2 green evades for the fighters or points for a bid? If the latter, perhaps ditch RBD and upgrade to TRC for 388 points?

@Ardaedhel is king of MC30 spam and found that Mothma wasn't doing the work she needed to be doing vs the unholy trio of Morna/Maarek/Jendon. That parallels my own observations having played against similar lists. I think it's probably Dead Fish (Rieekan) that you're wanting for playing into 2-ship. Generally would agree that dropping RBDs and getting TRC on the corvettes would be better. I think you probably really want to get to a higher activation count for match-ups that aren't 2-ship/Pryce lists.

I hate to rain your parade, but... she's not. I love running squadronless Mothma MSUs and have a lot of experience doing so, and I tried really, really hard to make her work, but MMJ just craps all over her. You're better off using Rieekan as a drop-in replacement until MMJ isn't so prevalent anymore.

Ok, great feedback! I have wowed to never play Rieekan, but perhaps i need to reconsider in this meta

Since you are the king om mc30 spam, what are your thoughts on switching the Cr90s to a Pelta + gr75 as a trailer behind the mc30s?

I have 2 variants:

3xmc30 scouts w oe/apt/sfo and titles on 2 (also lando on admo)

Pelta with IF/raymus/ET/ER

Gr75 w ahsoka/comms net for token feeding and activation

The other one uses mc30 torps with same loadout + XI7, and the pelta runs entrapment instead of IF
