Alright so I don’t have any pictures really yet but I’ve started working on my Rebel portion of a split Core set, as well as Wookiees and Han.

I’ve just been wondering—I don’t feel like I’ve seen many Rebel forces here in the painting topic, even going back to the beginning. And most of them are movie-accurate. Which is cool. But.

I’m going for a blue/black uniform for my Rebels, with dark brown leather. Han’s coat is blue, as will be the stripes on his pants, Luke’s sleeves are blue and most of the rest of him is black.

What I’m trying to find others’ Rebels for is troop identifiers? Obviously the bands on the hats are an option, but I’m not sure how well that will work for the rest of my scheme. Any other parts of the basic Rebel Troopers that make good troop markers?

You could mark the sides of the bases. Maybe a coloured band around the base

Maybe not a bad idea just for telling them apart—I guess I did mean moreso for a flavorful “in character” identifier?

I might try a couple different colors of armband or something similar, if it doesn’t seem too messy to attempt.

All my rebels have a Rebel Alliance starbird symbol painted on somewhere, I don't know how confident you are in your paintskills, but with a bit of practise it's really not that hard, although ymmv

The Rodian and the second from the right have theirs on their back packs

For me, my rebel troopers are variations on a similar colour scheme, maybe try that?

I think I need a better smaller brush before I can manage that O_O They look great, though!

I was thinking about it... I guess I’ll see how uniform they look when I finish the first batch and if I like that.
