Outrider X

By DewbackScout, in Star Wars: Legion

My X-34 card contains the following text, does yours?

Outrider X: You may equip up to X Outrider passengers. After you make a speed 3 move, roll one white defense die. On a [block] result, one of the Outriders falls off unless they have the "Spleemo T. Magnabutt" keyword.

Spleemo?

The X-34 outriders are totally Sonic&Tails.

I had barricada's installed for passenger safety 😛

Oooh ... barricada!

The party bus aint got time for safety!

While we’re at it, why does the Toyota Hilux of Star Wars get armor 2, while the Imperial StuG only gets armor 1?

I have no idea what a StuG is, but I can only assume it's to give Rebels hope.

It’s short version of the German word for assault gun, IE, a type of armored vehicle with no turret designed for infantry support.

the Toyota Hi-lux reference is in regards to the fact that the X-34 is a ‘technical’, IE, a civilian vehicle retrofitted with weapons.

Basically, the TX-225 is a built for purpose armored vehicle has the Armor keyword, but the X-34, an improvised vehicle asset, has ARMOR 2

It looks funny, sure, but the TX-225 also has red defense and +2 Hull. So in effect, I’d think much tankier still.

Edit: ah, they’ve clear this up below.

As funny as it looks, isn't Armor (which is different than Armor 1) actually better than Armor 2?

Yes, Armor negates ALL hits.

Armor X only negates X number of hits. (1=1 hit; 2=2 hits canceled, etc.)

Right, when I saw StuG and Armour 1 I assumed it was something to do with Dewbacks

Thanks for the explanation :)

Hmmm ... can the StuG transport a Dewback?

Right, so I had no idea what a StuG is, but I know Dewbacks have Armour 1. Hence my assumption that StuG was some obscure acronym relating to armoured lizards 😛

If it counts as trooper unit, what I doubt, it can.

"Creature Trooper" on the card.
