Has anyone here read Dark Disciple by Christie Golden? I have enjoyed it immensely. It makes me want to have Vos pilot and crew in x wing, as well as a Banchee title for the Lancer. It would be neat to be able to field Vos in a scum list containing Ventress. Has anyone else had this desire? Any custom cards out there for this jedi or title?

Oh, Banshee title is definitely on the way, especially with how popular Assaj is as its pilot.

When Disney took over and started the "new canon" novels, I really dove in and tried to read them all, but I finally had to give up because I really didn't like many of them. I would say Dark Disciple is one of the best and is probably my favorite of the newer novels. That probably has a lot to it really being the end of clone wars series that was never made. It will be interesting to see if they use any of that material in the new episodes of Clone Wars they're making for Disney+.

I don't think I've seen any custom Vos cards out there. I could see them maybe releasing him in Republic at some point, although there are so many Jedi to cover, he may never see an official release. It might be fitting to have Vos (and/or Ventress) as a Maul-like crew card that can exist in multiple factions based on the other one being there. Something like a Vos crew that was "Republic or Squad including Assaj Ventress."

I’d be down with both a Banshee title and a Vos crew. It would be cool if one or both was made to synergize with Ventress.

I enjoyed "Dark Disciple." I'm quite disappointed we didn't get that story produced for the Clone Wars show. I enjoyed the author's contributions in the "Fate of The Jedi" series in the old EU.

I'd think this sort of material ideal for these card only expansions I've seen teased and suggested.

That is a really good book. The writing style makes it an easy read; Just enough back story to emotionally invest into the characters; and tons of back lore and Star Wars stuff.

And yes... we should get Voss pilot, maybe even crew? (Double sided, light and dark) And crew Ventress.

It’s the best of the new canon novels imo.

In my opinion it was badly written romance wannabe star wars pulp fiction. The characters were simplistic (eventho sympathetic in their simplicity) and the story linear with some logical errors and without adding much new to the Star Wars universe as a whole.

That is my subjective opinion and if you enjoyed the book then good for you and I am not trying to argue or say you are wrong . I just want some complex characters and good quality story telling.
