WAVE V ....the real, burning question.

By clanofwolves, in X-Wing

Do it. I've been calling them TAP Dancers because they can just dance their way around ships, obstacles, and arcs. They're outrageous fun, and actually give a lot of ships a hard time simply by forcing overshoots. Barrel roll before a hard 1 is just hilarious.

Their big flaw is attack power, but that's where your ace comes in. If you can get enough heat off them to let them shine, they can be surprisingly effective.

Have you tried?

Inquisitor (38)
Hate (3)
Fire-Control System (2)
Proton Rockets (7)
Total: 50

I've thrown one in a list before and it surprisingly held its weight up. They are a threat enough with the PR to give your opponent worry, but they can be surprisingly resilient. I want to try four of them some time.

Well..you are only going to get a maximum of 2-3 real uses out of that hate, and with capacity only for 1 force-token, the gain is weak. Love the TAP, but I have yet to find the "killer" build.

Yeah my experience with running Inquisitors so far has been they either take no damage in an attack thanks to focus+evade, using obstacles, and arc dodging, or they take *all* the damage and are left with either a single hull point, or just outright explode immediately. They're capable of surviving for sure, but Hate just doesn't do enough for them unless you're going Seventh Sister or Grand Inq.

2 or 3 uses out of a 3 point card is money.

Nor does instinctive aim you get a focus and use the force to fire.

got me there. still, 2 mods > 1 mod

If instinctive aim missiles aren't good I struggle to see passive sensor missiles changing that.

At least passive sensors "free up" the force slot for something else... wait there isn't anything else worth taking. 🤣

I was assuming ps missiles on barons, to be fair.
