Thoughts on a sloane 2 ship?

Name: Sloane double isd1
Faction: Imperial
Commander: Admiral Sloane

Assault: Close-Range Intel Scan
Defense: Fighter Ambush
Navigation: Superior Positions

Imperial I (110)
• Admiral Sloane (24)
• Boosted Comms (4)
• Leading Shots (4)
• Quad Battery Turrets (5)
• Avenger (5)
= 152 Points

Imperial I (110)
• Admiral Chiraneau (10)
• Boosted Comms (4)
• Leading Shots (4)
• Quad Battery Turrets (5)
= 133 Points

Squadrons:
• Maarek Stele (21)
• Mauler Mithel (15)
• Valen Rudor (13)
• Whisper (20)
• Howlrunner (16)
• Zertik Strom (15)
• Saber Squadron (12)
= 112 Points

Total Points: 397

So right off the bat, Pryce. She's what made 2-ship good, and she'll work wonders whether you're first or second. Chiraneau will let you move, but he won't let you bomb while engaged. That's not prohibitive, but bear in mind that in a mirror match they can bomb you when they really, really need to and you can't do the same if they have a couple squads screening. QBTs aren't reliable. You won't have many nav commands, meaning if you slow roll it could be hard to close or escape, and if you're at three you don't need them. Jendon is probably worth adding over Whisper (elsewhere if you can find the points.) As basically a second Maarek he has better average damage than a Phantom and much better accuracy generation.

Good luck, hope this helps!

My whole thought behind Chiraneau was to allow Mauler to wiggle to get his damage off against enemy squads.

Sloane with less than 130 points in squadrons is a waste (in my opinion). You are using an admiral that is giving bonus to squadrons, but you are not using full squadrons.
I would ditch the two Quad Battery Turrets. Yes, i can see that these are for the leading shots on long range. But i think you are paying to much for this.
Kicking the two Quad and Chiraneau would give you 20 points. 20 points that can be used in squadrons. That is, for example, Dengar. Who will give you a better effect than Chiraneau (in most cases) and an 8th squadron.

But for the squadrons:

I am missing Jendon in this list.
See it this way, the best damage source of all squadons (in a Sloane List) is Stele. And allowing him to attack twice will just be so much better. Yes, it is "meta", but the combination is just too good to be ignored. Jendon+Stele alone can kill Flotilla, CR90 and Raider in two turns.

Why Howlrunner? You have only 3 other swarm squadrons. She is not worth the points for only these 3.

And i would really add Cienna. Yes, again "Meta"... But her obstruction makes her really great. Either in binding squadrons and forcing them to attack her, or to fly between ships. because most cannot harm her at all.

Zertik is good, no doubt about this. The rerolls are really nice. But you are missing the "meat" for his effect. You don't want to damage any of the 3 hull squadrons just for a reroll. And you really don't want to damage Stele as well. Zertik is great when you have Bossk or Decimators. Squadrons with a lot of hull. But not with these low hull TIEs.

I have got 23 point (of 30) score with a sloane list of 100ish points

well: (in my opinion)

And with 134 points in squadrons you would have got more points than 23 😁.

I have never played a competitive game with Sloane with less than 134 points of squads 🙃
