Ok many people seem to have a problem with Warpstone Evacuation so lets start a post to see if FFG takes notice. Sign up here and make them notice your hate!!!!!
Sign up to ban warpstone!!
I like the card.
I think it would be better with limited keyword. I dont really feel like it is to the point of banning yet.

I agree with Vitamin T...it needs the Limited Keyword. How that got overlooked in playtesting is beyond me. ![]()
I think even with Limited it would probably be too good, honestly. If it was Limited and cost 1 I think it would still see a decent amount of play (no, really) but it would no longer be an auto-include. I am not sure that it actually needs banning but the game would probably be better off without it.
The problem with the card is that it acts as a big thumb on the scale to push the game towards rush or unitless - if you do not care about ever blocking then it it is essentially a free hammer in quest or kingdom. It also makes the game more draw dependent - any decent rush deck that lucks into a double warpstone draw is very hard to beat.
Yeah, those are some GREAT points that I wasn't thinking about.
I change my stance to DEFINITELY BAN this card. Too easy, too cheap.
In all honesty, bannings are usually just easier to remember than errata. There is already a ton of "errata" in this game just due to the vagueness of some cards plus some others that do have real errata.
Yeah, I don't think I would errata it, banning is much better than that option. Just get out the banhammer and if you want something that does the same kind of thing at a reasonable cost then print that later.
I vote for no ban. I'm not in the mood for banning anything at this point.
HaHA excellent!!!!
I personally use the card and in my gaming circule everyone else thinks its a bad card and dont include it which is crazy!!
But seriously a ban is the way to go I think as it will be better for the game in general, Rush can have the villages. I am only against the card because of the feedback form the tournis. I tourni of 10 players with only rush is bad news for the game and this needs to change now!!!!
All just my opinion of course.
Badger
i honestly don't think it should be banned, but then i personally hate the idea of banning cards.
Why do you hate the idea of banning cards?
I dont think its a great solution BUT if it is for the game to build and become better I am all for it.
Naw, it doesn't need to be banned. It's only really good in rush decks, and rush decks are very good, but not unbeatable. I play 2-3 games every day at lunch at work with a friend and we're finding that Chaos has become the best deck around. It has beaten everything it comes up against. Unfortunately nobody will believe me without playing it but I'm telling you Chaos is the most ridiculous deck out there right now. They can handle every single deck.

Decklist or GTFO!
What CovertDad said. What you are saying is not impossible but I do not believe you without some kind of substantiation. I have played Chaos a whole bunch, since it was my first pick of a deck archetype that might be able to beat Skaven without actually being a Skaven deck. I have not had a lot of luck since the Skaven decks we had changed to run more supports and less units - it's harder to disrupt their draw if you build the Skaven deck that way.
where do I vote to ban banning ?

Because banning cards just shows a lack on imagination in the game, if the card is truely truely game breaking maybe but even then only in an extreme circumstance. Is warpstone really that bad? no i don't think so, yes it's good, but it's not so game breakingly powerful that it is a game winner by itself

Agreed.
I ran a DE/chaos snipping deck that coudl deal with rushes, but each battle pack gave somthing that made rushes even better. Snitch was the kicker, between him and clan moulder elites, I have found the decks I had that could beat rushes, can't any more. I also ran a sort of fast dwarf deck that did alright vs the rush, and it doesn;t stand up any more.
excavations are very good, but the removal of them alone will not "fix" the rush issue.
I think perhaps the way to go is not yet units attack the turn they come out. That may require testing, but I think you would get the desired results of slowing the game down a bit, and giving non rush decks a chance to deffend.

limited, 1 cost, 1 power... you mean contested villages?
I mean if it was literally a worse contested village with the Warpstone Excavation downside it would still see a lot of play. Rush decks would pretty much just play it as contested villages 4+ (I'm not sure they'd run 3 automatically, but I could be wrong on that). Yeah, it's really that good.
Maybe an Errata that states "Destruction Units Enter this zone Corrupted". ?

I shall post it then. Although right now I am going to my fiancee's college graduation.
I was thinkin' about this...
But I'm not sure is the right way to go.
Right now, some good Order decks use Warpstone (or some slow Destruction decks as some Dark Elf decks do)...If you slow down rush, you'll get an unwanted "stop" for Order decks (think about the already too slow thrower deck).
The environment needs just a good choice of new cards.
The problem is not rush itself, are Skaven. You can beat some good Orc Decks, but Clan Moulder + Spider riders are just too much, I.E. And Warpstone isn't needed in that case.
Maybe a little "rules" adjustment and some good card design are really needed.
Anyway, after moret than a year experience in LCG/FFG stuff, I'm pretty sure we'll get some news in the next faq (heavy errata-ing, some bans, etc.)
I've been cruising this forum for awhile, and I think the majority of posters are suffering from some kind of hive-mind-group-think. Warpstone is good, but it can lose you games, and rush is good, but there are viable anti-rush, anti-skaven cards and decks that can/will beat it. If "10 people all show up all playing skaven", I don't want to show up with my skaven deck hoping I'm lucky/good enough to come out on top; I'm bringing a deck that beats them. Skaven and Orcs are easy decks to play (the decks I'm seeing on these forums anyway), and I can see how some people think they are the only viable deck out there. If a card gets out of hand I don't want it banned, I want the next cycle of cards to give me an answer for it, hence a Living Card Game.
And there will be no deck posting, 'cause I don't want anyone stealing or trying to ban my mad-tech. Hopefully a real tournament scene will develop and the game evolves from that and not from the bitter after-musings of people that got hosed by the deathmaster. I love the game and want to see it do well, I'm just not ready to cry broken. I get beat, then i come back with something to beat that, and so on and so forth.
