So if you go to FFGs upcoming page and look at Legion, you'll see that Dewback rider, TaunTaun riders, rebel veterans and shoretroopers are On the boat, and all others are at the printer. Does that mean Bossk and sabine aren't coming out next and that we are getting 4 new expansions in May?

I think that as little as that stuff can be trusted, On The Boat usually means 6-8 weeks.

That page is as reliable as a digital clock with no power.

They have announced things out of order before. I would echo the sentiment above though and add that i believe it when they announce the preview article a week before.

There is an ultra high probability we won't be getting everything at once, that also makes the game initially very exciting then heavily boring and dull with lack of anything new for a bit of time. They tend to part things out releasing things little by little to grow the game quickly yet not over stimulate. It seems like the only thing coming out in the now is the two new heavy units.

That's the announced release window, but FFG has pushed such things back before, and I wouldn't be surprised if they do it again.

It also lessons the "hit" on the customers' wallets, encouraging us to buy more since the cost is spread out.

In the US, there has been a new release on the 3rd Thursday every single month since the game launched a year ago.

Never trust the upcoming page. broken clocks are right more often.

That said, bossk and sabine seem like an intentional drop in cost to "make up" for the high costs of the tank and speeder. Another game company I used to buy from did this as well. It tries to keep the average amount of money you spend on the game about the same. So tanks and speeders will be followed up by bossk and sabine to give your wallet some relief. Then the releases after that should feel "normal" again.

@Caimheul1313 indeed; been helping me slowly gather max units of everything.

According to the Legion Wiki, that is not true. Almost every month has had at least 1 release of some kind (excluding the April immediately following the release), and they are typically in the last half of the month, but not always the third Thursday. Sometimes it has been the fourth Thursday, some have been on a Tuesday.

Any proof of Tuesday? Because FFG has had Thursday street dates for a few years now.

The cannon and eweb are listed as a Monday release, which I know is inaccurate. I definitely got mine on a Thursday, in October.

3rd or 4th Thursday, doesn't matter. We are going to get an expansion or two every month. Don't expect that to change.

I had my calendar open to April still when I checked the day of the week for Veers.

Regardless, I do expect it to change at some point in the future, but probably not at least until Clone Wars is fleshed out. I can't imagine FFG will be able to permanently maintain monthly releases for Legion.

I suspect 1 faction gets something a month after a certain point. Honestly, from a previous wargame I played, that isn't a huge deal.

Once you have a large base of models to choose from, one new model adds several options. Even Krennic can be an example, what troopers to do mix him with? Could you run Vader as a buddy, or veers, even boba? Lots of options. As more models are already out per faction, each new model will likely "need" more time for players to decide how they want to run the model, who they want to combo with, etc.

As long as Clone Wars comes fairly early in Q3, I’ll be happy; kid #2 is on the way in October, so the sooner the better!

Congrats on kid #2!

Kid #3 came last October for me, and I spent as much time as I could painting up my Legion stuff before she arrived. Painting slowed a good bit after that!
