Your logic is flawed. Your main concern with uploading high quality images is time but it takes more time to load a low quality image THEN later upload high quality on demand.

400-500k? lol? try 4-5mb. I requires me to upload stuff through RapidShare because imageshack and the like has a 3mb limit. And, with all the respect to you (which you're starting to lose) one person isn't enough. And, lol, "ego"? If people are selfish and lazy enough to see something they want to print and play yet not to comment upon then I don't want them playing with my stuff. It has nothing to with ego, only with common sense.

Gee, if that's what you call respect, I'd hate to see what you call disrespect.
As for image size, reduce it with a screen capture or some photo-editing program that allows you to change an image into a jpeg.
Or use photobucket which just reduces the resolution to a manageable size. All of the AO's that I've uploaded there started life as a 6MB file.
