1.0 I only played Empire. 2.0 has me playing Empire and Resistance and I just bought into Republic.

I converted my empire, rebels, scum and FO, and have bought into republic. I'm only going to keep buying new stuff for Empire, FO, and Republic though. Might try to sell my scum and rebels.

I've converted 4 out of 5 and bought in to CIS, but I only play 3. My Rebels and Imperials gather dust on the shelf while I play with CIS, Scum, and Resistance. Haven't bought into the Republic yet, and First Order holds no interest.

4. I played empire and rebels while a buddy got scum in 1.0. I had FO stuff from empire so I converted it also. And then i got separatists. I would definitely invest in more if I had time to play what I already have.

Still need to run a 2.0 game for FO, but so far I've done much better in 2nd ed than I did in 1st. I'm really glad FFG made the changes they did and I'm loving the feel of all the different factions!

Too few results yet to really extrapolate but i was suspecting that this might be the case. Probably should share the poll more widely to get more answers.

I played 5 factions during 1st Edition; I'm currently playing 3 and could easily only play 2.

No I didn't no reason to; monetary reasons and both of the two new factions offered the characters I want to play in addition to those within the Resistance. Which is a mix between OT Heroes and legends and the new trilogy characters.

No. Three is the perfect amount and the right mix in my opinion.

Me, i play four factions: Rebels, Empire, Republic, Separatists.
Didn't convert Scum, Resistance, First Order. Mostly got Scum because of some mandatory upgrades in 1st edition, not my style. The latter i'm simply uncertain about.
Currently considering adding Resistance or possibly exchanging Rebels for Resistance. The more i think about the Rebels, the less they appeal to me, but the Resistance offers things i think i'd like.

I play two factions at tournaments: Galactic Empire is my main, followed by First Order (because Kylo Ren is the coolest Star Wars character!!!)

I have purchased 2x Galactic Empire Conversion Kit, and one each of First Order, Rebel Alliance, and Scum and Villainy. I play Rebels occasionally at game night, and Scum and Villainy has been relegated to Quick Build events or playing at home with my boys (my oldest ADORES Scum and Villainy). I would like to pick up the Resistance Conversion Kit eventually because I have the T-70s and Falcon, but I don't know if it's actually going to happen now that Epic has been announced. (On the other hand, with Huge ships converting to multiple factions, I will probably want Resistance even more!)

P.S. I decided on the second Galactic Empire Conversion Kit so I could run some truly awe-inspiring Epic squads. I only have dials for 6 of my 8 TIE interceptors, but one day...

Yes, sharing it more widely will help. Causal players will not usually stop in here.

Rewatching the prequels and digging into the Clone Wars...I'm getting an itchy trigger finger on getting into Republic stuff. Will probably wait until the next wave though.

For now at least, I’ve settled on Scum, First Order, and Republic.

Back in 1E, I tried to keep up with the game’s evolution by buying one of each ship, and I enjoyed playing a variety of lists from all of the factions. But following 2E’s separation of the sequel factions from the OT factions, and then the announcement of the prequel factions as well, it just didn’t seem feasible to keep up with everything anymore—nor even to convert all my 1E stuff. 5 conversions plus a new starter is too much to ask IMO.

My primary reason for choosing Scum and First Order is that my favorite ships and/or pilots from 1E landed in them (specifically Krassis Trelix Firespray and the TIE/fo). As for Republic: pure and simple, I’ve loved the N1 since Phantom Menace debuted and I’m excited to finally get to fly it in X-Wing!

5 currently. I converted all of my 1.0 stuff to 2.0 so have 4 of the 5 original factions.

I also bought Republic.

I mainly fly Empire/First Order but I'm really enjoying flying Deltas!

My fiance and I have all the ships between us as she flys Scum/CIS.

Right now I own plenty of ships in 6 factions (not a fan of the CIS), all but my Republic ships were carried over from 1.0, but I don't think I'll be playing much Scum, First Order, and maybe Imperial in 2.0. For the moment I'm focusing on the Republic, Resistance, and Rebels.

I dabbled a bit in everything in 1st ed. Although my main faction was rebels.

I would have needed two conversion kits for rebels & imperial, and one for scum. None of those factions excited me enough to warrant the investment.

So I waited for wave 2 and got on-board with the resistance. Then bought into the republic just recently.

Those two factions are serving me nicely, and whilst I do miss having lists for the 3 core factions the only way I'll get into those is if I can get my hands on individual cards & dials for the specific stuff I want to run - side lists are not worth buying a conversion kit (2 in some cases) for.

Imperial, Rebel, Scum and Republic for me.

I really don't have time for more, and playing with ships that fly on the skin of their teeth is my preferred way of playing.
