when does the first one occur and what sets will be still legal?
rotation
It occurred on the 8th of April. The rotation of sets depends on which format you play. Presuming you mean standard, Awakenings cycle is no longer legal.
See the holocron documents on this page : https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/products/star-wars-destiny/
so there is only 3 sets now ?
The Awakenings "cycle" was the first three sets: Awakenings, Spirit of Rebellion, and Empire at War. This includes the Rey and Kylo starters. They've been rotated out of standard tournament play, but can still be used in infinite tournaments, which allow anything and have no rotation.
The Legacies "cycle" is the next three sets: Legacies, Way of the Force, and Across the Galaxy, along with the Two Player Game, Luke and Boba starters, and Rivals draft set. They're still legal for standard tournament play, but not trilogies tournaments. Again, infinite tournaments allow anything.
The Convergence "cycle" is Convergence, the Obi-Wan and Grievous starters, and the upcoming Allies of Necessity draft set, along with the next two sets to be published later this year. Those will be legal in all tournament formats once they're published, until next year's rotation.
Silly FFG: White box with black writing and white box with red writing are all legal in standard.
A Rainbow of colours and we go with white!

Maybe because boxes and writing have to be readable?

No, they're 3 different cycles, the awakening are black boxes, the legacies are white with red letters, and the convergence are white with black letters. They're separating for a different formats. For example, the awakening used to be standard before the convergence came out, now they're infinite. Of course the legacies used to be standard and trilogy and they're became standard and no longer be a trilogy. The convergence is now trilogy and standard. Do you understand that? They're rotating different formats by the different colors boxes and letters.

Indeed although perhaps you can’t recognise irony in my previous reply to Amanal as I was very aware of the likely reasoning. However thank you for the lecture and condescension.

If you weren't being ironic....
Coca-Cola has a pretty good colour choice, Pepsi too, there are numerous colour choices that FFG could have gone with.

But then game colors should have a history with the franchises they are based on. Anything light that isn't white wouldn't make sense for a star wars game. only Background colors available that would make sense would be white, black, or gray. Unless if they make the backgrounds landscapes of planets like tatoine, hoth, endor, naboo, yavin, mandalore, dathomir, etc.
