Scarif at Celebration

Complete with Hip Hop Trooper with boom box, there were Surftroopers, Matt the radar technician, and of course, George Lucas

If anyone took pics of this mega diorama please share.

Wow! Kudos for sheer scale. The interlocking floor tiles are a material I would never have thought of using.

I really like that vader model that’s choking a fleet trooper

The team were all really great and friendly as well. I volunteered there and had a great time!

I really wish those were in the right size to have a perfect 6x3 board

Those at 24 x 24 give you 6x4 feet and you just mark off 6" on each long edge for players to put their stuff?

That's what we do at my FLGS to be able to use all the 6'x4' mats the store has for other miniature wargames.

It might be worth it. I know if I had the right tools, I could cut the extra length off of one side. we have tables that are "about" 4ft width. But we don't have exact measurements for the "player area" which is what I would love to make easy.

If the tiles make a 6x4 space, just use a chalk line measured 6" on each long edge and then put down a permanent line with paint or something? No need to cut them, especially if your table is 6x4, it'll sit perfectly on top and the line clearly marks the playing area.

I did the same thing with MDF, bought a sheet at Lowe's, had them machine cut it into 4 pieces, then I chalked lined the 6x3 area onto it and glued down cork in the outside area to place your stuff. Same principle here, except your foam squares are infinitely more transportable haha

One of the local players in my area has 6'x6" pieces of foam that he rolls out on top of the 6'x4' mats. This also means that you can use them as 6'x4's for Grand Army.

We'd love to modify our play area a little more, but our store seems to reject the idea of players having any control over the play space. That said, I've been looking at pieces of cloth already cut to 6x3 for other reasons that would be an easy way to roll out a "game space"

That stinks!

I do currently have a 6x3 piece of felt that I bought at a fabric store. Many of the folks in my league have more "advanced" mats than that, so I only have it as a backup if my opponent doesn't have a cooler mat :) But a fabric piece works perfectly lol
