Blood of the Great Beasts question

By Xeke, in Anima: Beyond Fantasy RPG

I have been translating some of Dominus Exxet in my free time and I am slightly confused on this Advantage. specifically the last line, which came out like this through Google Translate: Development Points this advantage offered by increasing the level of the character.

I literally cannot figure out what this is supposed to mean. maybe something to do with presence?

Without more context, the best guess I have is that development points the advantage grants can increase the character's level, like it would if you were playing a full Sylvain or Daimah or the like.

Of course, that assumes that the advantage grants DP.

It means that you obtain 40/80/120 DPs to buy Powers from the creatures section, and that those DPs do not increase that character's level.

after looking at Chimera spell, I decided that the wording meant that it DID increase the level. this way, I can maintain a semblance of balance, as they would be more powerful, but would take longer to level.

Again, a more complete view of the wording would help. Not even posting the whole thing, but the translations of the few sentences that seem to discuss the DP and level of the character.

Also, unlike the spell Chimera, which gives you a level worth of DP for free to let you buy powers, the Advantage already has a cost. You're spending Creation Points to take it, and those are very precious. Also, what kind of level penalty would you apply to someone who took the 40 or 80 point version? Does the character's Gnosis get factored into their level penalty? Because the GM sets the Gnosis of a character and that puts a limit on the potential power of their monster powers.

blood of the great beasts costs you 1/2/3 cp AND a +1 level adjustment (you are your level but it takes the xp of one level higher for you to level)

Oh. Well, if the advantage specifies that you take a level adjustment then it already answers the question. This is why these types of questions need some sort of context to them...

Hopefully the book will be out in English in the next year.
