So another trailer has dropped and with it, more unit speculation! I could definetly see the experimental clones as a unit, as well as clone jumptroopers. Its gonna be a great year for star wars I predict what with clone wars, the Mandalorian, ep9 (meh) and Fallen Order

It’s being called both 6 and 7 by different people. The trailer said 6. To me it’s season 7 but officially the Lost Missions isnt a season apparently
I guess this is the part where I say something like "looks good, but something something Disney, something something, jaded opinion, and mistrust of them making a good product."
Nope. This looks freaking awesome. Can't wait. Everything about this looks amazing, even the silly and over-the-top elements fit fine.

it's strange to not have Lost Missions count as a season, yet, their stories are being treated as cannon with the fate of Fives.

I know it’s wierd but thats how they’re doing it. Probably because it wasn’t enough episodes to be season?
When Ashoka meets back up with Rex and his crew have her facial markings pattern on their helmet! *chef’s kiss*
I will one hundred percent have to paint up Clone squads to match for whenever we get an Ashoka Commander or Operative.

This killed me. I love Ahsoka and the Clones. What a touching moment!

Poor Fives, he might be the single most intelligent character in the series.
If I recall correctly the Lost Mission episodes were originally planned for the regular seasons but the episodes were cut for room. So they were racked on as a little bonus for us all.

They were originally supposed to be part of a full 22-episode season, but after Cartoon Network ditched the show, that full season wasn't completed. The show jumping to Netflix allowed them to release the Lost Missions as a "sixth season." But yes, the Lost Missions would have comprised a full season if the show had stayed on at CN, apparently.
EDIT: From what I've read it's unclear whether the decision to drop the show was on Cartoon Network's part, or Lucasfilm, but Lucasfilm at least made the announcement that they ceased production on new episodes for CN.

I believe Disney killed Clone Wars on CN when they bought LucasFilm to start fresh with their own content. Netflix still retained the streaming rights to the Clone Wars so the episodes that were already completed they were able to put up in their library.

Yeah, I believe this is correct. Lucasfilm made the announcement in 2013 after the season 5 finale, and Disney acquired Lucasfilm in 2012, so that makes total sense.

Yeah, but it’s Dave Filoni.
Say what you want about Disney, but Filoni actually spent time with GL, learning what makes Star Wars, Star Wars.
So I’d expect the last season (6 or 7, depending on your point of view😜) to be at least as good as the seasons prior.
