BB Astromechs allow either a BR action (in the generics' case) or a BR or Boost action (in BB-8's case) before executing a blue maneuver. Is this action allowed even while a ship is stressed? I ask because Afterburners provides a specific exception to this rule, allowing a boost regardless of stress after completing a speed 3 - 5 maneuver, while Advanced Sensors doesn't trigger if a ship is stressed ( I don't think - at least, that's how I've been playing it). Any clarity out there?

No. Primed Thrusters are needed to achieve maximum BB shenanigans.

“Exceptions are always explicit, never inferred.”

So the BB-* actions are not available to a stressed ship, unless something else (Primed Thrusters, as @Maui. said) provides an exception.

I've been playing them that way, just wanted to confirm.
