Stay clear of the Sarlacc !

I wouldn’t mind seeing First Order in this game in an eventual sort of way. However can we get some Mandalorians first to fill this role role!

At this point just about every faction could have a jetpack unit.

Republic: It has the Clone Jet Troopers from legends and Battlefront 2 (EA), and normal clones were known to take them on occasion depending on the mission.

CIS: There were both B1 and B2 Battledroid variants that had rocket packs or boosters. You could also make an argument for Death Watch having it too if they were put under the CIS branch.

Empire: They likewise have Jumptroopers as seen in Rebels and the Battlefront (EA) games. There are also the Imperial Super Commandos as well.

Rebels: They have on occasion had jet packs like in Battlefront (EA), and regardless were allied with mandalorians that used jet packs.

First Order: The ones seen in the trailer.

Y'know, I was wondering whether rocket pack droids would be a separate thing, or whether FFG would give SBD's access to a rocket booster Gear option.

An upgrade that requires Droid Trooper only would work. It all depends how many models FFG wants to make and sell, and if more diverse and different models super-cede ones that are really minor variations, that could be confused easily; take the example of sandtroopers, visually they have extra gear, but that gear is for the environment they operate in. This however is covered with a very exact gear upgrade; Environmental Gear.
