If we get a Kylo Ren in this game someday I want @Sorastro to pull this off on a mini.

Final movie trailer drops 10/21.

Poetically on Carrie Fisher’s Birthday

I told you so

I love how news outlets are just reporting this today, when I saw Carries birthdate I called it. The Empire of the Mouse knows the true power of nostalgia.

Excuse the quality of this clip

I need to get my kids to this. They’re too young for it probably. But I wanna get them the future nerd street cred of having seen it in the theaters.

I approve this message.

My boys are absolutely stoked to see epix

I am looking forward to this if only for the awesome looking final battle. Not really having high hopes for the story but hope the fight looks cool

Spoils

SPOILERS for Star Wars Resistance Reborn which lead up to The Rise of Skywalker.

The marketing team behind Resistance Reborn call it essential reading. I would stop short of saying that but the novel is a love letter to the fans, which ties in a LOT of the non movie media from the video games to the comics and other novels.

Oh my God! I can’t wait to get this book!

Good cause.

Not 100% on the fashion advice though.

I am going to be very interested in how important this book is going to be. The TRoS comic tie in was meh and really only showed where they got some guns and the Mon Cala ships. I would not be surprised if this book would be a "love letter" that main goal is to give dozen of cameos to every surviving New Republic, Resistance, and neutral character that would side with the good guys *cough* *cough* Hondo. Wedge and Black Squdron would free them all at the end and they all go rally the fleet we see in the trailer. Essential properly not, but I bet it will be a great read.

Same!

I don't expect it to really be essential reading (and hope not for those that don't have the time or simply don't intend to read it), but a good read nonetheless. Both excerpt I read from it were good and make me impatient to get more!

As a side note, I finished reading 'Spark of Resistance' past weekend and overall I didn't really like it. There's nothing really memorable in it.

Some material from the novel for those who want information but will skip reading the novel. I won’t spoil the main plot and cooler novel surprises in case you want to read it someday.

Spoilers

Corellia has been taken over by the First Order. Two Star Wars Galaxies cities appear in the book and are now Canon.

Black Squadron and Phantom Squadron are part of the novel.

It appears that Wedge trained Poe. Makes sense.

Finn says he and Rose are ‘just friends.’

Hera Syndulla is mentioned but does not make an appearance.

General Carlist Rieekan, Theater Commander of the Battle of Hoth, hero of Alderaan and the Rebellion and one of the architects of the New Republic's Military appears.

So does Orrimaarko, “Prune face”

🤣 🤦🏻‍♂️

Two thirds in and I love this book! Can't wait to finish it this weekend!

I love how it brings together all those characters from different stories. While I don't think those stories are essential to enjoy the book, it is definetly rewarding to have read or seen all their stories prior to reading it. Like you said, it's a love letter to the fan.

I particularily love how it is dealing with the consequences of Poe's decisions in The Last Jedi, a great follow up.

I have yet to finish it, but for now I see this book more as an epilogue to Episode 8 than a prologue to Episode 9, seeing that the events happens right after the Battle of Crait.

Love it!

"Rambo 3PO" is no longer a matter of spoilerisms. My kids got an activity pack at AC Moore the other day and he appears in it, in sticker form. Not sure if anyone else already reported on him appearing in an official source yet.
