Well you can go two ways with this one serious and jokingly serious:
In the ST Leia leads the Resistance, Kylo leads the First Order in the conquest of the galaxy, and Luke saves the Resistance and inspires the galaxy since the trailer sort of spoilers the Resistance reinforcements led by Lando. Also highlight for 9 spoilers: Rey adopting the last name Skywalker after being motivated by Luke and saved by Ben.
In the less serious way these nine movies should really be called the Palpatine Saga. He has now pulled the string in most of the movies if Snoke was indeed a puppet, the Clone Wars TV show, and the final villain in Rebels. He overshadowed/embarrassed Skywalkers in both 3 and 6 (and may do again in 9). The "DEW IT!" scene always gets a good laugh.

It doesn't look the same as the dagger from the Mortis Gods arc, but considering ole papa palpatine knew about them, could it be a refit/reforging? (Prevailing theory among friends on why palps is back having not aged, apparently, is that he managed to use the world between worlds to avoid his death and reappear after skywalker's death.)
I'm very interested to see if this movie will connect any dots with the CW cartoon or Rebels.... doubtful, but one can hope.

My money is on it connecting to the Mandalorian somehow. Baby Yoda being wanted for reasons that may be explained in the last two episodes. The fact that they pushed episode 7 to the day before RoS may hint at that...................... or its just a PR move. The callback to Clone Wars or Rebels would be nice as well.
Highlight for spoilers: I sort of like the main leak that Papa Palp response to Kylo asking how he lived is "**** you! Thats how."
