The thing that keeps coming up as a sore point for me is that JJ doesn't seem to understand the concepts of time or distance.
We get the 16 hour ticking clock that gets references later as being at 8 hours and then never mentioned again.
We get heroes on planet, cut to FO saying "hereoes have been seen on planet, we need to go there" to heroes running into FO on planet with no sense of time changing to Kylo's flagship showing up at the planet. All of this appears to be 5 minutes to an hour of actual story (not film) time.
Even worse is the final battle. Lando and Poe leave at the same time to go to Exogol and the Core worlds respectively. We're supposed to believe that it took 15 minutes for Lando to go to the Core, round up a gajillion allies (who until this point haven't been willing to get involved) and get to Exogol to meet up with the resistance forces who are already in the battle.
