A Malarian Brood forces emerges over the ELE world of C1; the ELE has a hold fire order in place, while the Malarians do not, leading to a -2 on the roll. 229 A (MB) vs 103 D (ELE) adds an additional -3. A 3 is rolled and converted to a -2; all ELE orbital forces are destroyed. 1 GF and Credit Production are destroyed as well.

@Ardaedhel What happend here?

New mission: An Entire Legion

Use a blockading force with 12 or more Ground Forces of any type to launch a successful invasion.

Strategic Analysis:

You got played.

Trusting organic matter consuming devourers is illogical.

End of Line.

Well, you miscalculated a variable: we weren't attacked, and nor are we likely to.

We are not the fools in this story...

@Matt3412

Merry Crew - your destruction is predictable. Further resistance merely increases our mutual costs. Surrender and accept 10% of our stock.

Who goes in dsT?

Once again, it is strongly advised to leave no planet unoccupied. Not only to prevent the MB from draining GF and credit production, but also to prevent them from winning the war. If they blockade more than half the sector, they will likely conquer us all.

Really now? Have we really been following them? Or are we just trying to avoid conflict with our neighbors?

"Greeting, Merry Crew. It seems we have encountered one another in the L system."

"We do not apologize for actions taken against your world - after all, you did proclaim the virtue of mass-slaughter of Meat Bags, which designation includes our Share Holder."

"Our organisation exists primarily for profit. We have little interest in a protracted conflict - unless it would be of benefit to our Share Holder. We suggest you make us an enticing offer regarding the future of relations between our factions, return of your world, and reparations for the inconvenience we have experienced."

@Bertie Wooster alas we fly under the banner, yet for the most part we have not had a part in anything. We still think independently from the ELE

You have been a strong ally and we appreciate your assistance. Thank you.

It appears now that we were deceived by the Swarm. And while that was disappointing, we do plan for contingencies like this. We are prepared to destroy the blockade over C1 this turn.

Your point about breaking bloackades less we all lose is well founded. There is an infestation on C2. Do you plan to clear this or would you like us to do so?

In the evernt you ask us to claim it, we are prepared to cede this world back to you if you so desire at a time of your choosing, given a little advanced notice.

We are completely capable of dealing with C2. It will be done this turn.

Your families have been incorporated into our partnership. They have not suffered loss from orbital bombardment such as you have delivered.

Let us buy your remaining forces at the market rate - we have opportunities for assassin droids in our organisational chart.

CP9-J: Unfortunately we have not been able to assess things properly due to our continued necessary duties. Archaeology doesn't research itself you know.

At any rate, it appears that the bugs are isolated to the following systems: A2, B2, C2, H1, H2, K2

We will be eliminating some nearby bug sites this turn. Per OPSEC we will not be revealing which sites we will be hitting. If we believe any non-bug forces to be operating in the vicinity, no-fire orders will be assigned. If you are not operating in your territory, hold fire orders will not be issued for your forces, and we will not hesitate to fire.

We encourage our allies, friends, and even acquaintances to give the bugs no safe haven! We may be able to eliminate them from the galaxy this turn!

K2 is in the market influence area of Proprietary Limited.

We will deal with the brood situation in K-system and south. Our zone of control now extends to K, L, M, N, O, and Q.

Entry into these systems will be regarded as hostile action.

Best Regards, etc.

Greetings, northern neighbour. We seek to establish trade links and minimise bureaucratic impediments between our economies. Do you, for example, use the standard four-pin plug or the rendenni five plug alternative?

Do you understand this code?

ENYPTUOCESRTBMDUGITBOED.

We are seeking answers.

You also appear to have a persistent brood swarm problem in H1 and H2. Do you require assistance?

Greetings. We actually use a 6 pin plug designed explicitly to annoy any of our number who want to vacation in other worlds. We are not quite sure why this is the case, and have an upcomming referendum to banish the designers and find an alternative.

We don't understand the code, no. That may because we are cross-eyed at the moment and can't see it properly, so we'll let you know if we make any progress later.

We could always use extra ships, though we intend to deal with the bugs ourselves, so any aid you send us would have to be under our control.

The Swarm also has a sizeable fleet over C1 that we plan to seek out and destroy. We do not require assistance at this time. C2 is being dealt with by our allies the URASC ( @idjmv )

It's probably an anagram. The letter "E" is the most common letter in the English language, and it is common in this code. Q, Z, X, J are uncommon letters in the English language, and they are absent in this code.

However, our ships' computers cannot handle such a long anagram (23 letters). Manually, we were able to get "DO YOUR BEST TEMP DUCTING." It would be very helpful if we knew what at least one of the words were.

We can confirm it's not a Caesar cipher.

Our analysts have also noted the repeatedMDUGITBOED. It may be the key to this code.

We note that our records have the first code starting JEOV, not JV EO.

Our search for knowledge is ongoing.
