After recent success with Ani, Ashoka and 2xTorrents I want to try out other ideas to boost the basic idea of Anakin as an Ace. I want to find a list for the next couple of months I can really focus on besides Kylo...

At the tournament Ashokas biggest downside was her I3. To address this problem I’m looking at Obi-Wan

After a couple of games with CLT on Anakin I don’t think that it’s worse than 7b. That allows me to bring Obi. With his I5 and 3 force he has some good ace potential. Giving him 7b for more punch.

Now here are some questions I have:

1) What’s your experience in flying Obi-Wan and what title do you prefer?

2) What do you think about an Arc (Wollfe) instead of two torrents. I really enjoyed flying those two guys and throw them into to fight first without much thinking. Mr. Wolf needs more care but can punch a lot harder.

3) R2 on both Jedis?

I was flying the same list and agree that Ahsoka is great but the I3 was definitely a downer. I have only been playing for 3 weeks so my experience overall is pretty limited!

I have also come up with the same list with Obi which I haven't tried out yet but hopefully will get a few games in tomorrow.

I found the R2's actually won me a few games but maybe if I was flying a bit better I wouldn't need them so much, but they are a lifesaver at the moment.

I started off flying Wolffe and I just found him getting focused down too quick compared to the surprising survivability of the torrents.

Ani and Obi both warrant CLT - they have the I value to leverage it well. If you throw Brilliant Evasion on Ani, and R4-P17 on Obi, other than the the different I, they become functionally identical in terms of offense, defense, and action economy (including after reds)

That leaves room for a 104th ARC with Palp, who, when left as Palp, is a rather fun boost to aces

Brilliant Evasion is way too expensive imo. After playing around with it in the probability calculator it has a chance of 18% to trigger on a 3 dice ship. I'm not willing to spend 6 points for that.

Obi with CLT is worth a try.

I tried Palp but came to the conclusion that Wollfe is better and cheaper. The coordinate is nice and maybe I can stress someone once or twice but I'd rather have a third ship with some teeth.

Very fair thoughts, all around. Brilliant Evasion has only gone there becausd once in a while it could save my @$$, and nothing else seems worth the slot.

As for Wolfe. I can't say I'd ever criticize taking him lol

Everyone ignores the torrents until they start making 2 attacks in a round against two ships at range 1 with cluster missiles. Then once the missiles are gone they can still throw 3 dice at range 1. Good once people start bumping and knife fighting. Their dial sucks but just roll around in a circle and you’ll eventually get a shot (or get shot down). They are decent but slow support ships. I’m running this at the moment and have had decent luck with it and will try it at this weekends local Hyperspace tournament.

Thinking about swapping R4-P17 for an R2 unit. P17 rarely triggers for me. Then again sync console is rarely used but for 2 points I’ll keep it. I just need to utilize it more often.

Favorite list right now. Nothing special but gets the job done.

No, I made 2nd place at a local hyperspace tournament with ani+Ashoka and 2 golds. I know that this list is pretty tough and I saw other good results in listfortress, too.

This list was mentioned here and there and I think it’s really badass. Unfortunately I only have one Arc and I don’t want to spend 50€ for two more ships. I would swap heightened perc. for an astromech. I love R2 regardless of what title you’re using.

How do you fly Ashoka? I've flown a good amount of Mace and Ani and recently tried Asoka but feel like PS 3 and only 2 force is hard to get over. But I've seen a lot more of her than Mace on list fortress.

Do you fly her with the torrents and flank with Ani? Or flank with both? I know it kinda depends on what you're facing but what's your general strategy?

Hard to say in general...

I sent the torrents in and presented those poor clones as juicy first targets. Either Ashoka or Anakin stayed relatively close to them. The Other Jedi tried to flank or get in later.

overall I would take Ashoka over Mace every day of the week. They’re the same cost with delta 7b, mace has a slightly higher initiative and one more force point but Ashoka can help her friends, can take focus/lock every round, can perform an action after getting stressed (you can k-turn and do an action, dial in a white maneuver if necessary and perform an action) and can even do 3 action when she’s at full force.

This is why I’m not sure if Obi-Wan is so much better than her. My list got 198 pts. and both jedis want to move last. Not sure if that’s enough. So I’m thinking about taking her along with CLT Anakin.

How did you manage her force? We're you using her ability almost every turn? Then did you not use FTC as much or not use force as pure dice mods? I do understand that alot of it is probably situational but thanks.

I tried to use one force a turn. That gives her most of the options: double reposition, reposition+focus/lock or focus+lock. But to be honest I didn't really care about her force pool.

I'm really struggling who's better, Obi-Wan or Ahsoka? Is Obi's I5 and 3 force worth it?
