Is that a "The Clone Wars" cartoon panel between Ep II and Ep. III?

Also, the Ep. VIII panel is rather...sparse...

Episode VIII, was rather sparse. The movie, not the panel so much.

I thought it was interesting in the mural that there was a rather stark transition from "prequel era" to "OT era" with a much subtler one going from "OT era" to "Sequel era."

The movies taking a break isn't a huge surprise given there hasn't been one announced for next year. That doesn't mean the ones we know are being developed aren't happening.

They've hashed the whole thing up and they now really do need to step back. They're going to finish up and usher Kennedy out the door in a face-saving way for everyone. See what sticks from the TV show and other current projects. Give everyone a chance to cool down from whatever spew that hack JJ has in store for cleaning up the mess they have made in the main episodes and figure out what the main episodes are supposed to be since they'll have nothing but dead Skywalkers and the main episodes are the story of the Skywalkers.

I don't think they really have much of choice but to take a breath.

Want to point out that Snoke isn’t in any of the mural panels (unless I missed it). Either... he and his backstory REALLY doesn’t matter and they’re further reinforcing that... or... wanting to not draw attention to him because he’s not really dead?

It makes sense to take a break movie-wise, considering their focus from silver screen to small screen is happening.

I've always hoped for longer stories that would flesh out characters and locations---think of how much better Anakin is as a character after seeing him in the Clone Wars series vs. just the films alone---which is what it seems we're getting with the new live series coming to their streaming service.

SW Resistance is an underappreciated series. I have high hopes for what season two brings.

It's sort of an industry-wide thing. Movies in general are being disfavored to pursue television or streaming series instead sort of by everyone.

Disney is kind of an exception, because like half or more of the top selling movies each year are owned by Disney, but as a (larger than just film) business looking at the long term, investing in a streaming viewership is gonna pay off more than investing in film viewership.

What do you mean? Ezra is right there!

Oh, I hope so.

I'd love an entire pantheon of SW characters who have been cut in half but never really die. /s

While I can't disagree with this, I'm sad that movies are getting 2nd place.

Considering how the best Star Wars in recent memory has been Clone Wars and Rebels a focus on TV isn't automatically a bad thing in my book. After Last Jedi it is going to be a good while before they get a movie ticket purchase out of me anyway.

I think that one came out already

Are they doing a Special Edition or something?

R.O.S.!

I have so many questions.

Was that Snoke or Palpatine laughing at the end of the trailer?

In the panel, Ian McDiramid came on stage to say, "Roll it again!" So i suppose it's Palpatine.

Not a scoop by any stretch, but Lando is awesome LOL

And he felt horrible about it.

...

...well, kinda bad. It bothered him... a little bit.

He did think about it after he did it, and changed his mind after Vader screwed him over, anyways.

Lando is awesome.
