Hi All,

Asking for my buddy here. He just got a brand new Sith Infiltrator and it seems the model has a few issues. First off, it has a floppy wing. The other three folding wings work perfectly but the other doesn't like staying in position and flops around. Second, he had a really really bad wash job on it. Heavy in some places, absent in others, and lots of brush strokes.

Should he bother contacting FFG about it? Or should we just look into fixing the issues ourselves?

They should be pretty fixable on your own. I paint, so the wash would be no issue, but if you guys do not, then there a process that will work; I can explain if you care to know.

Regarding the folding wings, can you post a picture? I don't own an infiltrator and they're may be an easy fix depending on how they are attached.

Contact FFG, they’re really good with this type of stuff

I would contact FFG. That sounds pretty bad.

I paint a bit, but I don't have a definite process for fixing the wash. My plan, if needed, was to color match and coat over with a thin coat where needed, and then rewash.

Thoughts?

My Infiltrator has bum wings on the one side as well. One is too floppy and bends too far. I'm honestly not sure why they went for the moving parts on this one, but I think people are excited about moving wings, so they're looking for opportunities. Mine is fine with the wings fully open and I don't really see a reason with this particular model to not just leave them up 99% of the time. I don't think the paint is bad like yours. I'd definitely contact FFG if it's bothering you. These ships aren't cheap.
