HALP! Recharge the force!

By TBot, in X-Wing

I keep forgetting to recharge my force. How do the forum frequenters remember ?

Call out phases. Say ‘end phase’.

After that it is on you. Don’t worry, you’re not alone. I’ve reminded people at my FLGS many times, including my opponents on more than one occasion.

’Why doesn’t Obi Wan have any force? Didn’t you regen one?’

Also, it is a mandatory game step, so you aren't allowed to miss it. Even if you're into the round, you still get it back.

While this is absolutely correct, you do not than get to say, "I would have used it to convert that eyeball to a hit/evade 5 shots ago. In a casual setting, sure, but this won't fly at a tourney except with the most lenient of opponents

It helps me to keep the tokens in the play area near the ships.

You would keep 3 force tokens on the playmat for ani?

That would deffinently help me remember. I worry about the clutter tho

Yep. I use Burger Tokens and all they do is enhance anything they're near, so I don't mind pushing them around. Your mileage may vary.

“Dials and recharge” instead of “dials”.

@TasteTheRainbow I like that. I am in the habit of saying "cleanup and dials". I adopted this because it bugs me when people leave their focuses, etc. out there. I might change what I say to "cleanup, recover, and dials".

In the Imperial Navy we say "CRD."

Never waste a chance for a perfectly good acronym, Commander.

Make sure it’s pronounced “crud” right? Always need a minimal syllable pronunciation for the acronyms.

Ah. So that's why the Jedi weren't able to detect Palpatine's plot: they kept forgetting to flip their spent Force tokens!

I have the same thing when it comes to the System Phase. It seems everyone I play at my FLGS want to jump straight to to combat. Especially when it comes to Norra, and her bombs.

I'll just take what I've learned here, and apply it to the System Phase.

Perfect!!

"Next turn--do your CRuD." 🤣

Physical punishment every time you forget it :v . If you forget about The Force after fielding a Jedi/Sith, you deserve it. Change my mind.

To be honest, having watched the Clone Wars series, whenever I watch this scene I find myself thinking "No, you're not. You're really not."
