How do you score a final salvo where all ships are destroyed?

By Velvetelvis, in X-Wing Rules Questions

The more we looked this up today the more confusing it got.

We ended up assigning a win to the guy that rolled more hits/crits

And scored it as 201 to 200.

Is that close to correct?

mutual destruction is identical score, so each player should recieve 200 points.

you roll the printed value on each pilot card and count the number of hits. crits count as hits, but do not add anything extra.

that's according to the tournament regulations. sounds like you did well.

Not quite well enough. It should be a win or loss as applicable, 200 points destroyed each. Neither player earns MOV.

the tournament rules calculate MOV in a very weird manner.

I mean, they do, but it is this way.

Or rather both players earn 200 MOV. The best a losing player can get and the worst a winning player can get.

If both had 200 point squads, leaving them both with the same score, this this section would be relevant.

If a game ends in mutual destruction , each player instead adds together the highest printed, unmodified primary weapon value of each of the ships in their squad and rolls attack dice equal to that number.

Whether they both had 200 point squads is irrelevant. If you completely destroy your opponent you get 200 points regardless.

Fair point
