Def need to see these probes in action

The timing of their launch (end phase) and movement (system) is ideal, but do they create enough distance to allow for LRS type locks?

Idk never seen em used before.

IMO Hyenas need some synergy to be better than Vulture. You can't just throw ESC on Hyena. Different Hyenas need different upgrades.

For example:

Techno Union/Separatist Bomber: Ion Torpedoes + Discord Missiles + Landing Struts = 37/40 points

Buzz Droids can be really good with Ion mechanic.

Baktoids: Homing Missiles + Landing Struts = 34 points

Homing Missiles + Discord Missiles + Landing Struts = 38 points

Homing Missiles + Discord Missiles + FCS + Landing Struts = 40 points

ESC + FCS = 35points

You don't have to TL yourself enemy ship to fire Homings and you can reload them.

DBS 404: APT + Probe Droids = 41 points

As for now I think 404 is the best Hyena to carry Probe Droids, but need to test it.

Bombardment Drone: Seismics + Proximity Mines + Delayed Fuses = 42 points

You can delay Seismics to mess with opponent's tactic or Launch delayed Proximity Mines and fly through them.

I don’t think that fits, unfortunately. 2 TUBs does though with the rest, and enough for struts on all ships.

Man, after the initial rush of buying into CiS I've re-realized just how bizarrely awesome the faction is

Understanding something like 32-c + kraken setting up Alpha strikes is easy...but considering alternatives in probe droids and buzz droids just boggles the mind

I'm actually kinda really glad they nerfed Sith like they did as it gives us cause to explore all the zany **** we have access to.

So, I gave the list I presented above, but reprinted for ease, and i have to say, HOLY MOLY! It went really well The Delayed fuses were a god send I was able to discharge 4 out of the six mines to good effect. The discord Missiles did OK. Maybe ESC would be better. Perhaps another additional device could also work.

5x Hyenas with Proton Torpedoes, one also with DRK-1 Probes (5x Torp alpha)
3x Hyenas with Homing Missiles, one also with DRK-1, 4x Vultures with Homing Missiles (7x Homing alpha)
Dark Courier with DRK-1, 4x naked Feethan Autopilots (CIS beef?)
Sear with TA-175, Hyena with ESC and DRK-1, 5x Vultures with ESC (best use of TA-175?)
Wat with Kraken, 4x ESC Hyena, 1x Grappling/Discord (or ESC) Vulture

An interesting option that just opened up with t-175 is indeed Captain Sear and I'm vaguely interested in seeing what he can bring to the table. The two seem pretty synergistic, as there just aren't many ways to offload potentially redundant calculates (well there's 081, but it remains hilariously expensive for a vulture)

Of course, an I 2 beeble is horrendously unexciting...but it's 39 points so can't really complain?

Something I want to try out is O-66 with TA-175 and 7x Vultures w/ struts. Need to get 1 more Vulture to run this list though. Is it worth it with all the new toys coming out?

Most things don't tend to need more than 2 proton torps to either be killed or almost removed. Gonna be trying this out once I get 2 more bombers. Do you go for the bombers and let the swarm live, or pop the easy target but take some torps.

Only got a single game in with not the list I wanted (couldn't borrow a set of probes), but it's kinda silly and I love it.

Really want that probe, though. See, you wanna walk in with a pre-set targetlock so you can focus for full mods and leave force open for Dookrew

Here’s what I don’t get: If 5x generic I2 X-Wings would be so broken, why aren’t 5x generic I2 Belbullabs? Sure there’s 1 hp less and the dial’s not QUITE as good, but in exchange you get both reposition options, both linking to focus, without reducing your primary value.

And sure, it’s calculate instead of Focus on the generics, but when you consider that you can add Kraken and STILL have points to upgrade the 5th to predator Greivous...

Why isn’t this taking the meta by storm? It seems too good to be true. Is it just because no one owns 5 Bellbullabs? It is basically a $40 ship, and even maxing a Vulture Swarm only gets you 3-4.

I don't like Kraken in Bullbulbul's list, because you need to fly close to each other. I would prefer Hyena + 4 Bullbulbuls o r 2 Hyenas + 3 Bullbulbuls with Probe Droids on Hyena.

You can fit:

1) DBS-404 with Probe + 4x Shakoan Aces for 199 points.

2) DBS-404 with Probe + 3x Shakoan Aces + Separatist Bomber with Proton Torpedoes for 200 points.

Pretty much that. Also, -1 Hull and a worse dial mean a LOT (heck, worsening the Jumpmaster dial killed the ship). The Tactical Relay slot is its greatest quality (if the DBS-32C ever gets cheaper, I don't think non-Grievous Belbullabs will ever see the table)

I don't think it would be. It's maybe a bit too swiss army knife - a squad of all A-Wings does one thing and does it well, but a squad of all X-Wings does a little of everything pretty decently - which means it might bully certain matchups. You can only fit 5 TIE Strikers in a list, are they just gonna get bodied by the 5 chunkier X-Wings, with one straights and all?

Those parts don't help.

It's probably Fine(tm), doesn't seem terrible nor amazing.

You can also lose the 5th one and take 4 plus a Dark Courier, to maximize the beef factor. Leaves 5 points? Which could be DRK-1s to try and double mod offense, I guess. Sure, whatever, seems fine. I'm not buying 2-3 more B22s for "fine" but maybe on TTS/Vassal.

5 strikers has room for ALL 3 of the named pilots. 5x at I1 probably wouldn’t be dreadfully abusive (CAZ isn’t doing so hot rn anyway).

In spite of the Bellyrub’s shortcomings, it does have some unique advantages over the T-65: 5-straight though no 1-straight, the coveted 1-turn, and a blue 3. 4 points of upgrades on EACH of them means you could take 4 aces and an autopilot and hardly notice the difference.

Plus getting those linked actions without reducing your primary is no small gain.
