I wouldn't get your hopes up. It didn't sound like those were in the pipeline, he just said it'd probably happen at some point. And maybe he was just keeping his cool on that matter, but everything else he was eagerly hinting at, or at least gave straightforward answers on. (Like. I was shocked at how easily he came out with the news that Epic was in the works. It had felt a bit like a pipe-dream for those who want it, but I guess maybe nobody had actually just... asked before?)

Might be the old "tell us about the new thing" syndrome. Happens a lot at panels. The new hotness gets revealed and it's all people will ask about, leaving the things they haven't announced to be lost by the wayside.

I expect to see some of the stuff mentioned at Adepticon, namely Epic (I honestly don't know much about what was talked about as I wasn't following at the time and now I'm just soaking up the info indirectly). If so, I'm not sure what I'd want to see. I feel Second Edition Epic is going to want to reprint things and get the other factions involved before it adds anything new to what exists.

Other than that, the Hyperspace legal ships seem like a good guess, but I'm not quite willing to bet on it. The list is potentially already too big to be a Wave and it would be leaving out the new factions. Something from that list is probably a guarantee for Wave 5, but I don't know what. I don't really need anything on there right now, either, though maybe I'd take the Resistance YT-1300 if it has engine glow.

What I would like to see is the Tri-Fighter and the Actis or V-Wing. Perhaps also a Squadron Pack or whatever you might call it, that starts introducing some variants. I'd like a new Black One with articulated wings and the booster.

Thanks, and that explains some things. I had actually been avoiding some of it on purpose because I prefer to get my news all at once in an announcement article, and once I caught wind of the Epic thing, I assumed there would be one. Of course, that meant that I never knew that the only actual announcement was just a date for the announcement of Wave 5, and everything else was just in the Q&A. My strategy to stay unspoiled backfired this time and just left me simply uninformed instead. 😜

I’m not getting my hopes up, but it would make sense for this to be something that’s not too far off... particularly with B-Wings and A-Wings being made Hyperspace legal, as they’re currently suffering from a shortage of named pilots.

An announcement of a card only upgrade pack in Wave 5, alongside a potential A-Wing rerelease, may head off some of the inevitable whining if they’re planning on announcing new pilots in the B-Wing rerelease in Wave 4...
