I've recently got this game and will quite often be playing the two player variation. I'm curious which two characters people think are best suited to this type of game in terms of giving the players the best chance in skill checks and dealing with crisis etc? With only two characters its clear that you're going to have to make some skill category sacrifices. I was thinking the two Adamas would be quite good - Bill for his leadership and military abilities, and Lee because he has a good mix of different skill sets, could be president, and is also a pilot.

Lee actually doesn’t make that great a president. His alert viper ability only works when he’s on Galactica so he would have some trouble getting back. Other than that I do agree the Adamas make for a pretty decent team. Personally I’d take Zarek instead of one of them (Which one is up to you). I feel Zarek has the best card draw in the game and if you should happen to wind up in a situation where you fail a check that sends someone to the brig his power can be a lifesaver.
