ARC-170 lists

I’m planning on running these two ARC-170 lists. Not sure if either would be world beating lists or great with swarms, but I think these lists would be fun to fly.

Rebel list - Norra Wexley (Crackshot , Lando , Hull upgrade , R3 astro , VTG) 68pts

Shara Bey ( Saw Gerrera, Hull upgrade, R2 astro, VTG) 72pts

Garven Dreis ( Jyn Erso, Hull upgrade, VTG) 60pts

Total 200pts

Republic list - Oddball ( Elusive, Sync console, R4-P44, VTG) 69pts

Wolffe ( Elusive, Sync console, R4-P17, VTG) 65pts

Sinker (R3 astro, Sync console, VTG) 63pts

Total 197pts

Thoughts on these two lists?

I love the theme. I have strong opinions about ARCs because I love them. Lets start with Rebels.

VTG is hot $#!+. The odds of it profitably proccing are too low for my taste. So I'd ditch them all around.

Now Norra. Imo, Norra, as an absolute beeftank, deserves Magva Yarro. I want Norra as my endgame ship, so, because to shoot her is both to have to eat through her evades and give her a lock, she should make it, and then proceed to profit. ExHan is also VERY worth it on her.

Shara needs Saw. Thats it, imo. Everything else is optional. But as a very aggressive ship, I don't think regen is where you should go.

Garven is fine naked.

Thats the bones, imo.

As for republic.

Same goes for VTG.

Sinker is not my fav here. I would trade him for Jag. Jag with Palp is super fun and versatile - he can coordinate if needed, but he also presents a problem choice for your opponent - shoot him and get stressed, and leave the two heavys, or don't shoot him and let him become a heavy.

My fav Oddball build is just Squad Leader.

Wolffe with P17 is glorious.

What kind of stuff do you think could round both of these lists out? Hull or shield upgrades? Some astromechs? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

So for the rebels:

Norra (ExHan, Magva, TacScram)

Shara (Trick Shot, Saw, TacScram)

Garven (Selfless, Leia, TacScram)

Norra is one of the least appealing targets in history, so she should make it to the end game, where she shines, or else punish anyone for killing her. Shara does her business - hopefully Garven passed her a focus so she only has to Saw when absolutely necessary. Leia is just too useful to pass up. TacScrams provide a surprising amount of durability

For the Republic:

Oddball (Squad Leader, R4-P, Cody)

Wolffe (R4-P17)

Jag (Palp, R4-P)

The R4-Ps are useful, especially for Oddball. Cody is a fun little offense booster

4-1 with this build. Fly Obi like any ace and roll the ARC's up in their face. The droids on either ship are huge. Being able to make all the moves pretty much blue on the ARC dial has come in handy alot. Obi can dance like no one is watching.

So, inspired by a local who is running 2 ARC's with 4 torrent, I'm giving this a whirl:

Sinker with Clone Commander Cody;

Wolffe;

104th Bn Pilot;

2 x Gold Squadron Troopers

Comes in at 200. Wolffe goes wide - he's a threat that actually cannot be ignored, even though he might just look like a tanky X-wing. Sinker shepherds the rest of the flock in and tries for a big hit. After that it is bump-a-thon and rear arcs come into play a lot.

The only change I might make is to drop Wolffe for another 104th Bn pilot with a 7th fleet gunner, but frankly I'm not impressed with the gunner as a 9 point one shot power boost. R4-P droids or veteran tail gunners might make good fillers otherwise.

I call it (hat tip to "Rebel Beef") "Republican Pork".

Maybe replace the 2 GST with a jedi sprite

This is the list (follow the link) that I have been playing with lately. The 2 Arc + the V-19 are flying in formation, blocking, covering large angles and Mace is harassing around.

I am already hearing the : You'll lose to High Init list.

I won games VS Kylo-QD-Tavson & Kylo-Blackout-Midnight. Both players were getting ready for HS trials.

I am enjoying it big time at the moment.

I ran these two ARC-170 lists yesterday and both wrecked faces.

Rebel - Norra Wexley (Swarm tactics, Lando, Shield upgrade) 64pts

Shara Bey (Squad leader, Saw, Shield upgrade) 75pts

Garven Dreis (Leia, Shield upgrade) 57pts

Total 196pts

Republic - Oddball (Elusive, R4-P44, Cody) 66pts

Wolffe (Elusive, R4-P17, VTG) 63pts

Jag (R4-P, Chancellor Palp) 67pts

With the rebel list, I went up against Boba and 2x Lok Revenants. I flew Garven and Norra in the middle and Shara on the flank. I slow rolled and waited for opponent to come to me. I banked Shara in from the flank and focused on Boba with all three ships. Boba gets popped third round and get one Loks shields down before time is up. I lose all sheids on Shara and three on Garven. Pretty good win. Fun list to fly and hits hard.

Republic list is all about synergies and formation flying. I went up against a Sep list with Maul, Greivous and two drones. I flew in a straight line with Jag in the middle. Again, I focused on Maul as he seemed to be the biggest threat. My opponent didn’t fly this list well so I popped Maul reasonably quickly. Greivous was a pain, the Bellyrubs aren’t bad ships tbh. I ended up winning but lost Jag in the process. Another fun list to fly.

I like your idea. The list I want to try goes in the same direction:

3x104th Batallion Arcs and an Ace (either Obi with 7B or Ani with CLT). The Arcs got a combined health of 27.
