I feel like Crypsis is kind of poorly written because it doesn't explain when you're expected to spend the maneuver to reset it. I can read it three ways:

After you use Crypsis, it gets damaged unless you spend a maneuver...

1) ...immediately, this round.

2) ...at your first opportunity, before you do anything else.

3) ...before you use it again, like a digital version of Limited Ammo.

"After you use crypsis" indicates the triggering event - the moment after you use it. It is at that time you need to spend the maneuver or it gets damaged. If you have no maneuvers remaining, you either take 2 strain to buy a maneuver (unless you've already used two maneuvers this round) or it is immediately damaged.
